Utterly disagree, you should be able to make informed decisions simply by reading the tooltips in game. However the in game tooltips are vague, unhelpful, actively hiding information until points are locked in, and in some cases actively misleading. so yes people should be asking for respecs as the devs have actively failed. If respecs were allowed the tooltips would be borderline acceptable as a way to encourage trial and error but in an unrecoverable system like this they are criminally bad.

If your response is to read 3rd party sites (many of which were wrong or incomplete on launch day) you have no clue as to what constitutes good game design.

Lets put it another way, if you had a real world contract where the critical information was as lacking as these in game tooltips any judge anywhere in the world would find in your favor if you sued and use terms such as “bargaining in bad faith” or “Deliberately misleading”

Sorry to inform you but WoW is not even close to playable if you care about raid/dungeon/gear/etc if you don’t use any 3rd party information or tools as in addons. I agree the tooltips are terrible with too little information for the most part but it stands that people who informed themselves and put in the time managed.
