Procedurally generated instance dungeons

Are there any plans for this? Similar to when you are trying to get the Lucid Nightmare mount but instead of just doorways maybe mists or something change the next space you’re in… is this how the new tower in SL is going to function?

That’s what Torghast is going to be. Randomly generated layouts every time you enter. The actual dungeons in Shadowlands are still normal with set designs.

Other than what has been said at blizzcon there is no information about it released yet. If anyone claims otherwise and cannot link quality sources then they are lying.

Basically what I’m saying is we don’t know much yet.

Yes. It’s a deep dungeon basically.

It’ll be neat if it is twisty, changes elevation and/or the changes are not as abrupt as with the Lucid Nightmare space. This sounds really cool.

Procedurely generated dungeons would be cool, but in addition to standard dungeons. I wouldn’t want them to replace regular dungeons.

Maybe they could be another variation of the dungeons. It would need a new cool name, Madness, Endless, something like that, but better.

Could you imagine attempting to pug M+ with those types of dungeons? I can see the rage now

This is gonna have to be a “I’ll believe it when I see it” type of thing for me. Remember when they said the World Quest system was so unique it had nearly 1500 different quests? Yeah.

Others have already answered your questions, but man was the Lucid Nightmare maze cool. They really nailed the atmosphere in that place.

Yeah, I’m wondering how really “random” it will be. Like if it will just be random floors, with different themes, mixed around. Or if the layout and everything will be “random”, per level, as well as the creatures.

It would be epic and the forums would be filled with tears.

I’m guessing it will take after Diablo type randomization for layout and such… aka World of Diablocraft?

How to take two great games and merge them into a mediocre one.
