The math goes over my head, so I don’t understand why Havoc is sucking. All I know is, I’ve really enjoyed playing my Havoc until I took her to Shadowlands, and then everything from pvp to pve smeared her to butter.
Frustrated that I was struggling with quests, I decided to try this thing called Vengeance. And then I fell in love! It was nice being DH and not dying all the time. Even after maxing my covenant gear, I still pop on Vengeance for the maw, torghast and WQs that involve elites.
I bring my Vengeance to random epic battlegrounds too for survivability. I had someone grip at me the other day “dh tank is useless” and im just like, you know how much more useful my Havoc is gonna be? She’s not, she’s just gonna die on you. At least as Vengeance I can survive more in Ashran which makes all the difference.
I mean, I’ve really enjoyed playing Vengeance now, but it’s pretty messed up. When I started Shadowlands, I was maybe around 100 exactly, now I’m close to 185 (ive only been playing Shadowlands for a few weeks yall) but I feel like it’s made little to no difference to my Havocs survivability. Sure, the dmg is nice, but that’s about it.
I didn’t start playing DH until late last year. So I really can’t compare it to previous expansions.
edit: BTW as Vengeance I was dealing MORE dmg than my Havoc in pvp, which is pretty sad because I know my Vengeance doesn’t do much dmg to begin with. The more dmg was solely from dying less.
