Problems that will KILL Shadowlands

Class design, covenants and shadowbinds will be the big annoyances of SL, mark my words.

I do miss driving my healers crazy with life tap.

How is it so hard for people to understand that not all Lag is player-side, that it is sometimes server-side?

The Lag in Warmode PvP with only 20 people is Server-lag, not my PC or internet. Get it through your heads. This is a Server-side bottleneck. I’ve seen streams have the same problem while streaming in Mythic Nyalotha.

What would you know of bad game design? What are your credentials, sir?

Faction imbalance is certainly an issue.

Lag is also very bad right now.

As for the rest of the stiff I don’t agree. I enjoy being able to solo content and there is more than enough reasons to join a guild if you are into PvP, Mythics and Raiding.

My biggest issue is the number mechanics Blizz layers over each other, how many currencies and sources of talents do we really need to enjoy the game? By the time you finish the dailies and weekly requirements how much time is left for doing things you actually want to do?

Then there is the terrible internal balance within talent trees. It used to be fun to put points into them and now at least 50% of the choices are useless.

If anything it’s the RPG part of the game that needs rethinking.

I don’t need to be a chef to know that something tastes like dog feces.

I agree. Maybe I wasn’t clear enough about solo content. I’m not saying to abolish solo content from the game, my only point is that everything outside of Mythic Raiding, is designed with Solo-players in mind. That isn’t healthy or good for an MMO. Solo content has its place in questing, lore, things like the Mage Tower and Torghast. The problem is when you introduce solo-play to multiplayer content like LFG to dungeons or LFR to raids. It harms the game because now people don’t have to interact with others in a situation where they SHOULD have to interact with others.

Other points I all agree with.

Hi level mythic+ runs and PvP are highly coordinated activities in addition to Mythic Raiding. Yes, you can do these activists solo to a degree but being around like minded people certainly improves your success rate and skill level.

That is true to a degree, my Mythic Raiding requires a guild to be effective/competitive. High level M+ and PvP requires a Discord community.

My suggestion would be to put more unique rewards behind being in a guild to incentive it. Mounts/Titles/etc you can only get in a guild such as Dark Phoenix.

I also agree. I love that there are options for solo players. If people want to do group content they can. It’s still a huge factor for the game, but the less I have to interact with other players, the better, imo.

In full agreement with pretty much all your points, especially about lag.

This right here.Especially with people like Ruin (who needs to just be perm banned imho) due to how they abuse sharding to basically DDOS zones during world pvp events.

Guilds need re-tooling (basically go back to how the old system was)
