Problem Playing On External SSD = Not Playable, BUT

I ended up getting a SATA SSD and installed it today with the help of a friend. That seems to have done it! It runs WoW superbly. For reference, here’s what it says on the webpage I bought my HP Pavilion “Gaming” Desktop. “HP Gaming R5 RX 5500 Gaming Desktop, AMD Ryzen 5-5600G, AMD Radeon RX 5500, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, Black, Windows 10, TG01-2003w.” Again, i know it’s not the most powerful thing, I just wanted something to get by on.

That only has the slow usb3 ports - 5Gbps. They may have been the limiter for the speed on the external SSD.

Can be some variation between machines and SSDs and what they’re plugged into, heh. The joys of hardware. Wish I was a bit more versed in the realm of hardware to give advice based more than just what is working for me currently.

But yours is now working, and that’s what matters. Nice to hear.

Based off everything that has transpired, I’d say this is probably the case. Thank you!
