Probably going still be playing this game

I deal with minimal toxicity in the game, and when it occurs, they get the boot lol. It’s pretty easy when you organize your own events, or have a group of likeminded individuals. That’s what should be happening. The community should be working with the community. Not expecting law enforcement to do the job for them.

I do my part by having a cool head in bad situations. I can’t say the same for everyone else. You can’t enforce group content by yourself.

Not everyone has the luxury of a guild/group of friends they enjoy playing with. I love the game, but that one aspect keeps me from playing. Nicer players will easily pull me back.

That’s all anyone can do to be honest but your right blizzard needs to do a better job moderation

It’s part addiction, part enjoying the social interaction with your fellow players.

I don’t raid in retail but a good guild can make even a boring raid fun with the banter.

Sometimes, you have to put your best foot forward, and go get it yourself! If you want it enough, you’ll make it happen. I was in that spot years ago after I had my home guild break apart. I was with them from Vanilla up until Cata, and then the GM pulled some shady things and ditched. It was touch and go for a while because the guildies all spread out, and some left the server altogether. Just have to keep trying. I promise there are some great communities in WoW still

I have tried. Many many times. Guild after guild after guild. I found elitism, favoritism, cliques, and plenty more. None that fit me. I’m willing to admit that’s me and not them.

Fast forward to FF14. I found my forever FC first try.

Me too, dude.

I think the difference with WoW and FF14, in this instance, would be that FF14 is more fresh, so you’ll find more people also trying to find their place in that world. Where as with WoW, many people have already found something, and I am willing to admit that a good bit of the community likes to stick to who they know. It just takes more effort in WoW than other games, but I find it rewarding

The majority of the guilds I left were toxic gamer communities. The more chill, stable ones were inactive or uninterested in competitive content. I’m surprised how many people have never stepped into Mythic.

FF14 has a laid back environment. Everyone feels they can try something at least once. The most casual folks walk into high end content knowing they’ll eventually be able to achieve it.

I can definitely agree with this! If FF14 was my thing, I’d definitely have stayed after trying it out. I just couldn’t get into it after 30 levels of trying :stuck_out_tongue:

same dude i have no self control or respect for myself

WoW is the only game that really scratches my MMO itch just right, and it’s able to fill up my waking hours until it’s time to sleep again.

I don’t know that I have fun or that I’m enjoying it, I feel like I forgot what that is. I’m just accountable to my guildmates. If I was flying solo I’d probably just stop… humaning.

Dude! My husband was looking at a shirt he liked so I went to check it out (Father’s Day is approaching lol) and this Tshirt with krusty the clown on it was $60 and wouldn’t be shipped until DECEMBER!

Gods above, i hope so! So far, i’ve been in two guilds, the first was nothing but elitists, they love bomb you when you join, and if you’re not an epic player, forget it, you get ghosted. Now i’m in this one guild, at the beginning and up until this new lock came into the guild, everything was awesome, i looked forward to raid nights like a kid at Christmas.
Enter the wife/husband combo, the hubby was great, and then, the wife joined. They have an open mic and wow, so far i’ve heard her yell at her husband (trust me it cleared the wax outta my ears!) and more than enough times, she’s yelling at the top of her voice calling her kid a ‘f**** a****’, i thought for sure they would kick her, but nope, and why? She’s a competitive player and very good, so, she’s there and since she’s been there, i haven’t been included in anything and advised to do no more raids with them.
For the first time, i really thought i’d found a great guild. Nope. It’s left me just wanting to quit because all i’m looking for is to chill, have some laughs, and keep light. I’m incredibly discouraged, because i worked so hard to be very good, but in the end, i just wasn’t good enough, and they were more than happy to remind me. Sorry about the rant, i’m just bewildered:/
