Not sure why this would be relevant for players and guilds that don’t use the new cauldrons - nor are they enough to make good use of the currency. Players have over a thousand primal chaos at this point already with no use for them.
Consumables that don’t rely on professions and especially sockets would be a great avenue to give players.
No they are not, when they do things like this where there is a “tax” for the currency you already earned by playing that character, it seems like they disgruntled and forced to make the change. Why not a simple, you earned it - it’s BOA and have fun. No, it’s always about a give and take…at some point they should consider just giving something.
no what they should do is nerf the heck out of how many you get from mythic plus. But come back in 3 months everyone will be screaming for other uses for them then after they have geared up their alts and maxed out their professions.
If they keep up the way they are going I won’t care then because this change they are making goes into the ‘reason to quit’ column for me.
It can? How in the world did I miss that? I thought it was soulbound. My scribe is constantly out of it because there are numerous recipes from the Artisan’s Consortium that cost mettle to buy.
This is overall a good change but the logic behind the tax, and let’s not fool ourselves that’s what it is, is flawed. Why do you feel the need to dictate how we play? We earned that Primal Chaos by playing the game, what does it matter how we choose to spend it and why should we be penalized for choosing to spend it on our alts?
Unless of course the tax is some kind of a passive aggressive way of giving players what they asked for but only with caveats to denote the developers’ displeasure at being forced to do something they didn’t initially want to because of overwhelming pushback by the players? If that’s the case it’s really not a good look for Blizzard. And tbh it’s kinda hard to not think this because that kind of asinine backlash to player feedback has happened a lot in the past.
The way it can be is say for example I have the crafting recipe for khaz’gorite sickle on my paladin, I want it on my herbalist druid but don’t have the mettle to order, I can use my paladin’s mettle to craft it.
That’s what I’m thinking. They always do this with currency’s players ask to be account bound and they do this everytime as some kind of snide passive aggressive “FINE! here you go but there’s a cost since you gonna keep complaining we are not makeing it alt friendly enough!”
Well OK that’s nice but it sure isn’t the same as being able to transfer raw mettle to another character. Like I said, my scribe needs a lot of it. My tailor has a bunch that she isn’t using. Unless I’m missing something, there isn’t a way to transfer it, even with a tax.
I don’t think there is. Although there’s a weekly that gives you mettle and more of it as you climb the ranks of the consortium and unlock those patterns so at least there’s that.
Right! Also, this alt vs main crud is getting old. I have 3 at 70, and consider them all mains, since i have to do exactly the same ole same ole renown grind on each.
