Priest players have been begging for a way to turn off the oracle eye glow visuals out of combat since TWW launched, as it’s extremely distracting visually. There is no way to turn it off unless you spec out of the talents completely, unlike shadowform and the various druid stances. There are countless threads discussing this, but I’ll link a few below in hopes that a dev sees this. Either a glyph or a node on the talent tree to turn off the eye glow out of combat is all we ask.
Blizzard unless you have a greater priest rework cooking which is why this request has been consistently ignored for 2 years, PLEASE JUST LET US TOGGLE THE VISUAL OFF.
Please don’t let another patch go by without a solution. Priest is one of the least-played classes at this moment, and I strongly suspect that the forced visuals have something to do with it.
Please have an option to toggle this on / off or remove it, its really disrupting my whole character aesthetic: being undead with no eyes/ eye sockets, it doesn’t fit at all, I dont’ want to change my character around some glowing yellow eyes. I’d be ok with it being active when using like a 20 sec ability like Power Infusion or something like that but permanently is unfair, especially now we don’t have Premonition anymore.
Yes, please! I hate it, but do I really have to choose the other hero track to get rid of it, thereby making my Atonement not last as long? I suspect a lot of players are going that way, because I never see a third eye on anyone else in the game!
A lot of the hero specs feel a bit too prescriptive in theme and visuals. Sunfury forces you to be a Kael’thas wannabe with your floating spellfire sphere, which feels unfun if you’re not into it. If you’re a Dwarf Marksman Hunter because you thought the Riflemen were cool, well buckle up because both your hero talent options are elf themed.
Some are less over the top about it. Like Mountain King and Deathstalker both are highly tied to Dwarf and Forsaken respectively, but they don’t make you summon owls and starfall, or give you obvious spell spheres or glowing naaru eyes or make you look like Sylvanas with your dark magic tendrils.
I thought as I got older / played more I’d care less about things like this. They’re cosmetic. They shouldn’t matter. But man, I gotta say it’s only bothered me more as time goes on when I’m forced into a visual identity that I don’t want - even if it’s just some floating spheres around my shoulders or glowing eyes.
I feel the same way, and I think this is because it’s such a reasonable request to go unanswered. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve adopted a mindset that if a request isn’t unreasonable, my answer is almost always going to be “yes”. I personally like the Oracle aesthetic, but I recognize that it is a bit wonky in implementation (my chosen transmog is specifically to offset its odd placement). For this request to go two years without any sort of options offered? It’s either spite or incompetence at this point…
