I want to start a priest, and I am thinking in order to account for using both shadow (when leveling) and holy (when raiding) magic, that they’re gonna have a sort-of split personality. Think of it as the Hulk. Default is the holy, light abiding, friendly priest, but when they get in danger their other personality takes over and void shadow magic consumes and transforms their body.
Thoughts? You think any races this would for best for? Any race that has lore background for both holy and shadow priests?

void elf is interesting. but that plays more twoards being bat crap crazy.
I picture the light and shadow kind of on the premise of. You don’t pick it, it picks you.
With that being said, I think any race that can be a priest would fit into the general idea just fine. Maybe the shadow found a hole in the holy “armor” if you will and that’s what caused the split personality to come into being.
Sounds like the character will be a fun one to play around with.
Look at Hel from Smite to give you some inspirations. The idea itself is really unique.
