Blizzard will do anything to avoid giving us spirit bloom back.
One of two empowered spells for healing for the empowered spells caster class.
Why does blizzard hate spirit bloom so much?

To be fair, this is a big help because ranged classes rarely ever try to line up with TA. Most run away from you. I think I’ve only ever seen 1 ranged player (a Mage) actively stand in front of me to make sure they would get TA.
Blizzard hates Spirit Bloom because it gave us another spell to use.
It is helpful but we must never forget spirit bloom.
I know what you mean. I’ve been leveling mine by healing dungeons and even other evokers don’t know about TA lol.
Plus ngl, Emerald Blossom is so… bland compared to Spiritbloom. It feels like a clunkier efflorescence to me.
My evoker is not 90 yet but EB seems good for paper cuts as of rn, not much else.
Even if the healing portion was overly strong. The design of the spell makes it so bad and stressful to play with, especially for people who plays with strangers most of the time.
Without spiritbloom the only heal of considerable strength with my leveling evoker is verdant embrace which can be echoed but it has a considerable cooldown.
The new dungeons have some chunky aoe damage so I’ve been drowning trying to patch everyone up even with VE echoed.
At 90 I’ll get the 100% merithras blessing but even with that I don’t see how evoker can be a competitive healer in any content beyond raiding maybe.
But I don’t want to raid - I want to m+ and bg.
I wish they would just bake Temporal Anomaly into Spiritbloom at this point. It would definitely look less goofy than shooting TA balls everywhere. Empower spells used to make Evoker feel cool and dynamic, now it seems like empower spells matter less and less.
Your best AoE heal is Fire Breath fully charged with Life Givers Flame, followed by 5 living flames from Leaping Flames. If you run Flameshaper you get two charges, shorter cooldown, shorter cast time and 30% more damage.
I missed Spirit Bloom in the beginning and I’d still rather have it over Dream Breath, but I’ve become accustomed to the new healing style without it. The changes to temporal anomaly will be a very nice quality of life change, the emerald blossom changes are a good start but still not super exciting as a button to press unless you have 5 stacks of Ouroboros.
I just love the idea behind the 4pc tier set for prevoker. Will be like a 0.000001% healing increase. Especially when you compare it other healer tier sets it’s just laughable.
Lol I had the exact same thought reading this. It’s clear they have an intended design they want regardless of player feedback. And it does not involve spiritbloom. Hubris prevails
Seriously they are gonna gut and rebuild the spec for a couple years and then give it back some day.
it’s like the “men will do ______ instead of going to therapy” except it’s blizzard lol.
