I promise every single one of you who actually wants to complete a mythic dungeon is absolutely capable of doing so. This self-defeating “I can’t do it, I just can’t, it says mythic in the name!” isn’t doing you any favors.
buy a carry? i thought that was some kind of joke. who buys a carry in WoW? do you know the difference between need and choice? we choose not to do certian things ingame because ppl like you have sucked the fun out of those things. we dont NEED them, nor will we be told how to play a game WE pay for. buy a carry? who the f does that? no person i have ever known…
I assume it’ll be like other mega-dungeons and they’ll split it up for mythic+ and later release them as heroic, too.
Maybe I’m confused, but how have you two been playing since 2005-2006 without knowing that mythic megadungeons get broken down into two heroic dungeons in a following content patch during the same expansion?
This is why some veteran players get frustrated at people because of their complete lack of what should be common knowledge by now in the game.
You did not make it clear whether you felt like you couldn’t do the dungeon at all or if you just wanted to do it on mythic instead of waiting for it to come out in group finder on heroic mode.
Playing since 2005-2006 and you don’t know that the megadungeons are broken down into two heroic dungeons in group finder in a content patch?
Is there a reason you don’t know that information that’s been out forever, or are you and Thessia just wanting to do the entire dungeon on mythic? Because neither of you made that clear.
But making people do mythic level dungeons for STORY is completely insane to me, and I can’t conceive how yall thought this was an okay thing to do.
Ermm, how did content work before end of cata? Or some content after cata as well (secret phases with extra lore, extra bosses, etc)? This game forever had lore/story locked in raids and/or dungeons to which you had to travel with some people, and which you had to complete on hardest difficulty available.
Was it called mythic then? No, but that’s just a name. Previously it was called heroic, and before that it didn’t even have a name because there was only one difficulty.
I have been playing WoW for a long time, too. Over 12 years. I have not been part of an active guild in years - at least not any that progress through relevant content. What you are saying is inaccurate, I believe. I think this expansion in particular is very accommodating to players like us who are not part of a guild and still want to gear up and enjoy the new things. I have three max characters all 430 ilvl or higher. My mythic rating is above 2k. I always pug. Don’t be intimidated by mythics. I took the time to read journals and/or watch videos where needed and found so many ways to get better gear. World events like the Suffusion Camp, LFR, crafting, weekly quests all reward decent gear to make you appropriate level to run mythics. Even the weekly time-walking dungeons which are very easy to do reward you with a heroic raid gear item. Once you are about 405, I think you could easily complete +5s, and because you can keep running them all week with no cap, you can gear fast and push the key higher. Then the game rewards you with free loot for all you did during the week in the vault. You EVEN have the option of going to the Catalyst Boon and changing any item to tier unless it is crafted. Each dungeon also rewards stones and upgrade materials so you can upgrade the ilvl even higher. They also reward Splinters of Shadowflame randomly, and you can craft very high level gear using those and upgrade tokens, so that’s another avenue you can take.
I am only trying to help. There are many ways to get gear and I think it’s easier than ever to gear up, in fact. If mythics seem hard, just go down a level or two on your keystone and work your way up at a pace you’re comfortable with. I believe anyone could do this. I have used all of these methods including doing the actual Aberrus raid (full heroic on only pug groups) and I got my level high enough that I have been playing the new dungeon today. It works. Good luck friend.
so where is it??

You didn’t need to do the hardest difficulty for story.
All difficulties were there when the dungeon/raid opened. Not staged in different releases.

Heroics still require a guild if they’re raids. LFR is only for normal.
I know dungeon heroics are different, but “mega-dungeon” is new to me.
I’m still not a fan of the fact that the story is out 2-3 weeks before I can even attempt it on LFR (I don’t have time to join a raid during proper raid times, unfortunately, I’ve got kids).
I just find it very strange, since people who play on mythic tend to come onto LFR being very rude because they’ve had 2-3 weeks longer time to actually get the hang of it.
So much hype for a walled-off story. Always kills the drive I have to care about it.
The prefix is in: adverb
- expressing movement with the result that someone or something becomes enclosed or surrounded by something else. “come in”. The root word is finite.
at last. gorehowl will be mine!
Hey I’m not totally heartless. 430+ with good logs and M+ score. No need for AOTC!
Buy a carry!? Seriously? People actually do that? Sorry, not going to. One of the points of my post was that I do not want to be carried! It’s only that , unless you are in a real, active guild, anything above LFR/LFG is almost non-accessible. So gating content behind a mythic dungeon makes that content effectively non-existent for many of us. If you can’t get that, I don’t know what else to say.
It isn’t that I can’t do it, it’s I can’t get into a mythic unless I had the ability to solo it. PUGs require a gearscore far above what most dungeons require, and all the guilds are effectively dead. Only a select few get to run mythics.
Maybe you missed the point. The problem is, a mythic dungeon requires an active guild to access. PUG’s used to be the way to do mythics in the past, but now most PUGs require much higher gear than is necessary to do them. Even after they split the mythic mega-dungeons into heroics, those are likewise very difficult to join still. I have tried for years now to find a guild that has more than 3 people on at any time. I have literally been solo since MoP. PUGs are how I have always done mythics, but they are now so hard to get into that I don’t bother anymore. I don’t want to be carried - if I can’t do it, I don’t deserve the loot. But my only venue for dungeons and raids is LFG/LFR.
If it just says “Mythic Dungeon” in the title does that mean its basically a M0?
No idea what you are referring to.
This isn’t how you play Necromancer.
at least he was replying to a dude who replied to him a year ago lol. no wonder he forgot
