Regardless of one’s opinions on whether or not this event is any good, it has certainly been a colossal failure in regards to communication and managing player expectations. And this just makes it seem like the entire thing is a marketing stunt rather than something for the people who pay for the game.
(John) I have an idea, let’s make a mode like Fortnite because the kids from 4 years ago are trying out WoW. (Steve) Wait, do you think they play WoW because they are hoping for a Battle Royale version of WoW? ( Steve) Well, I think they came over to WoW because they wanted a different game other then that garbage because they have matured. Look what happened to hardcore call of duty fans when Warezone came out, most of them immediately quit when they found out it was starting out as Battle Royale. ummmm??? (John) Let’s make a Battle Royale WoW add-on! I think the fans would love it. (Steve) ??? SMH, did you even here what the fan base wants? (John) they don’t know what they are talking about, I love Battle Royale and they must like it too. (Steve) all you had to do was read the forms and try and make what people want, this is how we make money and more importantly keep our fans happy. (John) I know what’s best for the community.
No Payo!
Are the winners donating to charity or…?
This…this right here is the actual problem with these forums. Posters like you ripping on the very people that love the game and want to see it succeed. “Creators” have had a massive hand in the decline of WoW, but you sir are the next level of destroyer. You ridicule and criticize those that bring legitimate complaints to something that the fans are passionate about and fewer and fewer people get on here to speak up.
So, if we do not like, we do not play, and then what? It just continues on it’s downward spiral and we’re supposed to be okay with that? Passion and love for something, even a game, is not a bad thing and shows that one cares. Are you the sort of friend or family member that sees someone struggling and tell them to ignore their struggles and not make a change? I doubt you are, yet you apply that failed logic to people here and the cycle of stupidity continues because of developed apathy.
Yes, it is possible that saying something will change nothing…but accepting the bad and saying nothing guarantees nothing changes.
Zepla got filtered by the latest Ultimate raid in XIV and has never recovered
This patch + event pretty much cemented what direction they want this game to go. Even if it’s at the expense of their “PvE” players.
I feel bad for y’all, really. Blizzard knows you’re a loud bunch but you’ll stick around regardless. I mean you have since the game moved towards more difficult progression. This is just one more step.
I’m sorry. I personally wish the game was more tuned around your lot. Think I’d have way more fun with y’all than the day-to-day M+ player I run across. But this is just business. Here’s to hoping you stick around regardless to keep this game from being a complete sweat fest.
Are you a doctor, Mustachio? If not, you should be.
You’ve delivered a terminal diagnosis with great bedside manner.
Pfft. I’d rather walk the plank.
Look at all the positivity to this steaming pile.
Lol
What a trick blizz pulled on us.
“Sorry? We have learned that not having news and deets is frustrating for our creators and players. Stick with us for a minute. Our goal is a bit o’ fun. As always we are here to learn and serve. So to speak.”
Hey man, they’re here to “learn” and “serve”. Their goal was “a bit o’ fun”. They have “learned” while recognizing in the same post that they in fact chose not to do anything about what they “learned”.
From blizzard’s Gaslighter in Chief herself.
Why did you type your name at the end of your post?
I thought you meant that they’d keep trying to make e-sports FOR wow.
But yes, I actually don’t mind this blunder-storm thing if it means Blizz STOPS trying to make wow into an e-sport.
Can I help?
I’m really just disappointed in myself more than anything because I fell for the Metzen-savior complex.
A lot of us did my friend a lot of us did.
I think it’s no secret about my distaste for this event, but don’t attack individual employees, attack bad ideas.
If we turn working for Blizzard into the last job on earth people want to do by going after them as individuals, then we deserve a low quality mediocre game.
Don’t let your frustrations and anger turn you into the villain.
You getting a report from me on that. You’re not helping the cause.
A lot of people did, my friend. Nothing wrong with that at all and no need to be disappointed in yourself. It made sense.
But remember, Thrall was unable to lead the horde until he was freed from Blackmoore’s shackles.
Oh I’m getting reported for saying what almost everyone who has a problem with this event is thinking?
