Pay attention to how much time you’re actually spending on those paragon chests. Even the rare 2k emmisary box is actually trash gold per hour.
Consider flight time, consider how long it takes to do each world quest. You’d have to be able to complete a paragon box in about 20 minutes to equal a decent farm. 10 minutes for an emmisary.

You have to consider that I farm the Paragon Chests indirectly. While waiting to be summoned for my M+, while waiting to be summoned for my Raid, I was into completing the Paragon just next to where the summoning stone is. I even max’d out fishing/cooking just by simultaneously doing different tasks in one shot. Usually when there’s an Assault and a separate Emissary on the same map, I could hit 2 birds on one rock. It’s really easy. Not as hard when I farm for gold to supply my toon to beat Naxx40 or Heroic ICC (Lich King).
You are right, let me talk to customer support and make them delay Shadowlands another year so we enjoy BFA.
The patch is always announced. In Legion they announced the BFA pre-patch 5 days before it went live. The pre-patch will not be today, but it’s very likely that it will be announced this Thurs/Fri and live next Tuesday as that is 4 weeks from launch and we’ve never seen a pre-patch less than a month from launch before.
Like, for example I’ve made an agreement with myself that I’m not even gonna login to WoW until the prepatch is out. That’s the mature thing to do if I don’t like the systems in place with BFA instead of complaining nonstop about being forced to play BFA, right?
