Prepare to Face Rotmire in the Sporefall Raid

In the Midnight: Revelations content update, we’re introducing a new single-boss raid located in Harandar. You’ll face the fungal giant Rotmire in Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties. Players can also undertake Mythic difficulty in flexible groups of 15-25 players.

Don’t let it be a temporary experiment.
Keep Flex Mythic going forward.
Remove Mythic raid lockouts.

Yes, please, ruin mythic raiding so people like you who don’t even raid still won’t raid!

I hope the loot is good. From the article it didn’t seem so lol.

Will there be a way to upgrade other gear to 298? Or is this going back to the Shadowlands era where max level gear from dungeons is lower than raids?

If The Last Titan has 15 man mythic I’ll probably check it out. Every 20 man raid I’ve been in the 20th and sometimes 19th person stunk but you had to bring them because 20 is beyond the scientifically proven median social group of 16.

Hope this is a once off, or just left for those meme raids at the X.X.07 patch raid bosses.

Because flex mythic isn’t exactly a good thing at all for actual mythic raiders as it ends up being more restrictive for design especially so if different sizes are vastly different in difficulty in the same encounter like they can be for lower difficulty versions.

Split / Single boss raids though are fantastic for pugging and alts, so those are a good thing to keep at least since it’s less restrictive in being able to avoid being locked when it’s only a one and done for that raid’s lockout so more people will actually attempt pugging those lower boss raids assuming they’re approachable for minimal comms.

I don’t see how flex groups ruins it, but I also understand how the tuning is easier to do for a static size.

I think this is something they’ll likely only do for one boss raids, though. Seems easier to scale tune for flex on one boss than an entire huge raid.

Very Nice but where are all the pvp fixes and balance that we, the pvp players and blizzard customers, are kindly asking for?

Do you realize how few people would be affected by this negatively, versus how many would positively be affected by it?

I have no skin in the game, you couldn’t pay me to take raid seriously. But mythic raid participation is so incredibly low, and really the only people that could be negatively affected would be current early tier clearing guilds. So we are talking about like a thousand or maybe two thousand people at the very most that might take issue with it.

I know that you are one of the people that actually meets that criteria, but you have to be able to look at something as niche as mythic raid and concede it’s a disaster

Also, the “negative impact” is basically nil. You’ll still have 20 man as an option and be able to run it exactly like you do now.

Well, their argument for that is the fights would be designed differently because of the constraints associated with things like flex sizes etc.

This is just me, but there is no group of gamers in this entire world that should be considered less than hall of Fame mythic raiders in wow

Per design that’s intended when you have an harder difficulty for less people to do that content. To me depending of the participation it could show more that there should probably be another difficulty between heroic and mythic, could even be hard modes.

As for Sporefall it’s definitely content to look forward with higher gear ilvl, a mount, a toy and etc. They went all the way in term of incentives so can’t really blame that part.

Just call it heroic+ and be done with the flex tag.

Looking forward to people thinking this heroic difficulty boss represents Mythic raiding.

Mythic raiding has low participation because most players don’t want to wipe on a boss hundreds of times to learn it. Flex isn’t going to fix that, and it will only make it worse for the actual Mythic raiders because now they have to play even bigger games with their roster to hit the X amount of players that make the fight the most doable.

Does “sporefused” mean anything? Like do they empower the effect of the neck/trink/ring like the Manaforged boots buffed the cloak?

Curious if I should avoid crafting anything for those slots on new alts.

I looked them up on the Wowhead PTR page but the tooltips don’t seem to imply anything in particular.
