i’ve seen pug teams put up more resistance than some premades. just because its pug vs premade does not mean its not going to be an epic game.

I only jumped in here to agree with op that random epic battlegrounds are not in a good place at the moment. It’s gotten a bit out of control. Wouldent take much coding to match randoms pugs with random pugs and premades with premades.

They’re not. But unfortunately the issues there transcend even the premade problem.

There are a lot of fans of mass scale pvp out there, and I think any gaming company would have a great thing on their hands if they could truly pull it off.

After 19 years of BGs there’s little left for me to learn.

In fact, learning is why I know when a BG is a lost cause.

That is not correct.

The first win in random BGs awards a substantial amount of conquest. I am farming the correct content.

your profile is not one of someone who has been playing for 19 years and mastered the game. you don’t even have a single veteran achievement for any bg. you have barely scratched the surface of pvp knowledge.

Premades arent the only problem in epics. The maps themselves are also just horrifically unbalanced. The game is usually decided by who wins hanger in the first 3 minutes or which side rolls defense in WG.

Because in pugs like AV for instance they dont even pvp, they run right to noobhill. Or Ashran they say they will backdoor and really what they do is front door and wipe. Once again not doing any pvp.

This is my third account.

You can believe me or not, it doesn’t matter. But I’ve been here since the beginning. And I’ve played the hell out of random BGs.

It’s probably the main thing that’s kept me playing all these years. And coming back.

WG I agree on. IOC if Blizzard got their finger out and buffed glaives there would be alternatives, but they are so lazy when it comes to retail PVP.

it wouldn’t be if pug teams could get their act together and do the same thing but here we are.

often backdoors are done to resync a slit pop, so if they allowed raid queueing, no more split pops means less need to speed run games to resync, means more longer games with more pvp overall.

also, if you can control a match so well that you can call a wipe and backdoor then go and wipe their team and backdoor them with only a split, then yeah, that’s brag worthy.
