This is simply ruining the game. PM’s were always a problem in Vanilla but not nearly this prevalent, or I never would have played Vanilla.
This is not the Vanilla experience, so something needs to be done about letting PM’s roll their way to titles without letting the game be played as intended.
Fix it or the subscriptions on your cash cow are going to start dropping.
Premades were this big of a deal, except you only played against your own server, so there may have been only a total of 4 games going on at any time. 2 of those 4 were probably premades if during peak hours.
This is pretty much exactly what I remember from vanilla. WSG especially. 9/10 games were against premade rankers, and it was miserable. That experience was so burned into my brain that I have still yet to step foot into a BG.
I will say AB wasn’t too bad for it back then. Probably 4/10 games were against premades back then, and it was pretty enjoyable. Mostly because those premades were only rankers on the holiday weekends, so it wasn’t as sweaty.
But no, I disagree that this wasn’t the vanilla experience. It likely differed from server to server, but on mine we pretty much never went WSG unless we really wanted to punish ourselves for something.
I guess my experience was different. PM’s weren’t uncommon but def. not encountering them 80%+ of the time. I could have sworn they introduced match making in Vanilla but I guess it came out later.
I’m 2-15 in 2 days. Over 80% premades. I’m really just at the point where I’m saying, “if this isn’t fun at all, why am I doing it?” Which sucks, because I like the game, but this is not fun at all.
All about that PvP 
Keep in mind the way premades handled the matches were much different in vanilla ( at least on my server). We would just end the match as quickly as possible and not farm people at their GY’s. Usually the other team would see who we were and just let us win and dance next to the flags.
We need more posts like these on the forums.
I have a feeling the classic devs might actually take heed.
