If this does not get addressed, I seriously moving on to another game, These PM are taking all fun out of the game.
What exactly do you mean by “premade”?
If you’re talking about 2-5 man groups quing up that is intended and not going away. 5 man groups have been able to que since forever.
If you mean multiple groups all que syncing so they have a full bg filled up that is not intended. They might eventually do something about it, they have in the past, there used to be an addon oQue that let the que syncing be automated. They broke that addon a while back, full stacking a bg is definitely not intended by Blizz. But that said, PvP in general is pretty low on the devs priority, even basic things like class balance takes a while. So I wouldn’t hold my breath on them spending a lot of resources on casual bgs.
They are annoying for sure, they do seem to be alot more prevalent in epic bgs tho. If you just que regular bgs and not epics you’ll see far less of them.
Just play,
Don’t worry about the other team.
Even if your team is losing or gonna lose, try your best to have at least one good kill of the enemy player.
Your team mates want to win as well so just do your best and enjoy what comes.
How are you guys determining that a group is a premade? I see it often said and don’t see the same server for everyone, which I recognize isn’t a necessarily for a premade, but still, how are we vetting the claim?
Honestly in a lot of circumstances I suspect it’s a projection to justify the pending loss lol. I am sure this is not always the case but quite often I hear someone say this and then we end up winning and it never seemed like a premade.
/shrug.
if u pláy enuf u wil sée paterns of ppl
So your reasoning is that you recognize groups of names? How many names do you recognize before determining it’s a premade? I often queue with 1-2 friends for a random and was in a guild years ago and we would queue as 3-5 all the time, we were never in voice and didn’t do anything differently based on this small group function.
This is why I ask, the bg forums are rife with excuses, BGB chat is filled with some version of “everyone else is the problem but me” chat, when 90% of the time, people who are unwilling to look inward are often the ones that don’t improve, and are as a result, the biggest issue in the lobby. The moment someone starts undermining the team by complaining people focus more on arguing in chat, and it disrupts the team entirely further promoting my belief.

If we’re talking queue syncers I 100% agree, if we’re talking 2-5 people queuing together I strongly disagree.
It sucks to go against a premade but the reality is both factions tend to have 2-5 man premades. Some premades are stronger than others and/or sometimes it’s 2 man vs 5 man. There isn’t much to be done to prevent that, MMOs are also designed around community and multiplayer groups. Solo shuffle and blitz were introduced for solo players, random BGs and Epics can allow for multi player (with the exception of queue syncers because that’s an unintended manipulation of the system, if they wanted 6+ players to queue together they’d have allowed it without manipulation)
All that being said, I’m not a fan of graveyard camping behaviours. I try to encourage any people that I play with to focus on objectives vs annoying other players but sadly that’s what some people like to do. I agree that graveyard campers put a sour taste in a lot of solo / casual players mouths. I think GY camping is something blizzard could easily address though by allowing people to choose which graveyard they’d liked to respawn in and/or putting immunity bubbles like you see in IOC on GY spawn points, easy enough to do to stop deplorable behaviour (and to folks saying that people would abuse this by jumping in and out of the immunity bubble, easy fix is if you leave the bubble you can’t get the protection from it again until you die). It might still be a loss but it would prevent people from delaying a win if they can’t farm kills.)

Sitting in the GY getting farmed… buy yea, just play…
These days there are significantly more premades than there was in the past.
Regardless, game should do a better job at balancing matches so both sides have a good chance at winning.
Hahaha yeah I’ve experienced that many times.
I rezzed and died like flies on crap. But anyways, sometimes you get to do it to them as well.
Ya it’s wild that this is looked down on by people, but we shouldn’t be surprised, those people don’t want fair games they want games stacked in there favor.
Not a big deal. Well, if you’re talking about Epic BG’s maybe. Regular BGs? Who cares that much? Get some kills and avoid huge groups. Simple as that. It sucks but it does make for some chaos. I love watching my 8 million HP quest geared trashbag teammates get annihilated while I live-lord through the whole BG
I agree on the GY camping issue, made a note about it in my post above. To me that’s a simple fix blizzard could put in by allowing immunity bubbles to exist in GY spawns for rezzing players or allowing players to easily choose which GY they’d like to spawn at instead of forcing them to only spawn at one (also more GY spawn points or more ways out of the spawn point for certain maps like Silvershard and WSG where GY camping is more prone to happening)
As for the balancing matches, blizz already tries to do that by putting premade vs other premade as much as it can (at least in reg BGs, epics I don’t think it really tries because it’s just trying to fill games due to lack of players) but without an MMR system like rated games it won’t happen the way you want it to and they won’t implement that for non-rated because, well, that’s what rated games are for.
That used to exist in the old Wintergrasp battle, was fun, sit there as ranged and be immortal lol. Back when we had in game GMs, I remember one checking me out for doing that, all legit and Salty laughs!
There isn’t much information on this and we don’t even know it’s still active. In the same post I saw from more than a decade back, it still prioritized time in queue over placing premades versus premades. Regardless, we don’t need to know if it does or does not to see the end result. BGs are currently unbalanced and unfun because of it.
We don’t need an MMR, we just need balanced teams.
- Equal or close to equal number of healers.
- Proper distribution of ilvl - Both teams should roughly have the same average ilvl. That’s not asking for a lot.
- Both teams should have roughly the same specs. So one team shouldn’t have 4 boomkins or 4 MM hunters while the other team has none. Blitz already does this.
All of these things are super easy to accomplish once they get rid of factions. We don’t need MMR, we just need the basics to be met.
This is the main barrier I think. Blizzard seems afraid of the backlash over making battlegrounds cross faction but it really is putting a lot of solutions on hold.
Premades aren’t an issue and queue syncing pretty much never happens don’t @ me
