Premades in Random BGs

Just feels like some teams coordinate better than others. /shrug

Bruh, youā€™re tellin me lol

I just so happened to run into Inemia/SAS premades 3 different times tonight, plus a smaller/partial SAS premade in a 4th epic. And in each case of running into the ā€œfullā€ Inemia premade it was a premade (Horde) vs pugs (Alliance), and in each case I just left once I noticed it was a rigged/premade match :joy:

So yeah, anyone that says premade vs pugs doesnā€™t happen is just lying. It happens pretty regularly.

As a side-note, did these SAS guys have a BG-spam night or something? Running into them 3-4 different times in the same night, what is thisā€¦

Ya, and Iā€™m sure sometimes it is premades but most of the time it just seems like itā€™s really bad play and a team getting out of phase so they just trickle in one or two players at a time.

SAS and SoD run most nights. Sometimes we cross, sometimes we donā€™t.

BTW, just because you run into someone you recognize from the forums, doesnā€™t mean they are pre-making. Sometimes people solo queue.

For example, I have come across SAS members, and other Horde community members for that matter, that I have beaten inside of a straight pug. Doesnā€™t mean I beat a premadeā€¦just means their main group likely wasnā€™t running at the time.

Not all premades are equal. They donā€™t have to be in the same realm/guild, or in voice, or geared, good or anything. Five guys who grouped in LFG ā€œfor bgsā€ could get matched versus 5 drunk glads.

Not sure how it works for epics, though. I imagine they often dodge each other.

Itā€™s just as someone who queues solo normally I run into the same premades constantly. Knowing that my team isnā€™t a premade. Obviously nothing is wrong with queuing with friends. But to sit and say this game matches premades vs premades ā€œmostā€ of the time is comedyā€¦

Obviously anecdotal, but whenever Iā€™d queue a 5 stack we would FRQUENTLY be paired up versus another 3-5 stack. Like, almost every game. Could usually tell because they tried to have a comp, same guild, realm, moved together, semi-coordinated, etc.

Even had a few target us and immediately leave.

There is SOMETHING that tries to match premades in some capacity. Again, not all premades are equal. It could see any grouping of 5 players as a ā€œpremadeā€ for matchmaking purposes, or match a 2 stack + 3 stack versus a 5 stack.

Same, but usually only in epics. Random non-epics are just a grabbag decided by which team has fewer undergeared people whoā€™ll get clipped in the initial clash, as has always been the case.

In regular Battlegrounds (10-15 etc), 3-5 players can very much turn the tides.
Matching two average players who decided to queue up vs five geared in voice with meta comps, is theoretically matching pre formed groups.
But is it quality? I would say no.
Could the system be better, yes.
When you see huge win rate % in epics, it is obvious there is manipulation going on, simple math.

At the end of the day the only thing making premades so toxic is the gearing system. A group of 5 people with duelist gear is the reason itā€™s so toxic. Now put that 5 man with templates against other templatesā€¦ (or at least one set of gear) would be a lot smoother and less complaining I think. You see in any other game people play with their friends and itā€™s not a one sided match upā€¦ thatā€™s the problem here.

Not even trying to change the subject here, but I think anything bad in this game is to blame on that

Yes, we had a Nacho Party event last night where two ally communities were pwned in the mage tower until they crashed the server. After that we qā€™d for epics.

I have a handful higher ranked guys on my btag and itā€™s interesting that when I soloq I rarely see a glad mount or even duelist enchants. But whenever I queue with my higher ranked friends, those glad mounts and duelist enchants become very common on both sides. I think there is a little matchmaking going on.

Of course itā€™s not every time and even a couple games last night everyone on the other team had 60k+ hp while only one on my team had above 50k counting the stam buff and food buff lol. (steamrolled obv) Clicking through the enemy team, I found 3 party leader icons and only 1 on our team which was me queuing solo. Itā€™s safe to say they had 2-3 premades vs our 0 premades.

I think the overall population in queues is just down and what little matchmaking that does exist prioritizes faster queues over ā€œfairā€ queues.

I noticedā€¦

Yall need to chill on the premade-spam for a night or two, us solo players queue up expecting a fair pugs versus pugs game, not a rigged match versus geared/OP premaders.

Needed just 235 conquest to buy something for my Ally toon, but kept running into ā€œInemia & companyā€ :-1:

I wish I ran into them more. Instance chat is always hilarious when theyā€™re on the opposing team. In an AV last night my team was too busy calling each other specifically ā€œChinese mongrel dogsā€ and comparing combatant achievement dates rather than try to come up with a winning strategy.

When my community does a count down to queue for Epic BGā€™s, often the groups will get insta pops and the solo queues have the full 3-5 minute wait. I think they are grouping premades against each other as best they can.

There are alliance premades on the other side . The problem is there might be one 5 man team on alliance while SAS is syncing in 20 ppl and vice versa against alliance communities .

Not falseā€¦ My win percentage solo is way higher than with my casual friends. Itā€™s not 100% of the time as Iā€™m sure they donā€™t want to bump que times but it definitely tries to match premade vs premade. You likely just got your casual af premade on your team.

Premade vs premade ONLY would likely bump ques for everyone thoughā€¦ A better fix that would also add to que times would be to just add a bit of a very loose MMR system to casuals. It exists in things like rocket League and lol.

Thatā€™s probably the way better fix. As long as it was loose enough that que times didnā€™t get insane. Also maybe only for the smaller BGā€™s. Epics are a gong show anyways.

remove factions for bgs and match 5v5 only with each other and que times wouldnā€™t be a problem. just saying

LOL pawned you men phased if your so good why didnt you fight out in the open? instead you hid in the mage tower where you knew it would crash the server then we kicked your butt in a wintergrasp

Theyā€™re not even that hard to beat, even in a pug.

Ehā€¦ It still would add to the que times. For something I donā€™t even really find to be an issue. A loose MMR would be way better
