I just want to make another post to let Blizz know that they’ve ruined battlegrounds with premades, in the hopes that a multitude of posts about this will make change happen. I’ve played for 11 years with my kids, and we used to love a good epic battle, where we’d win about 40% of the time. Now, I have to que for 15 battles to win ONE because of premades. If someone even says “premade” half the team leaves or gives up. This month, my kids left the game to play new stuff I have no interest in. I’ve tried, but I hate Roblox. I love WOW, and I’m too old to start over. I get that premades are a thing, but why can’t premades que with other premades? Even if there’s more horde than alliance, let them play against each other with a generic red vs. blue. Epic battles are for casual players. To be real, I’m not that good at the game. That’s what arenas and mythic raids are for. Epic battles and LRF should be fun for casual players who work all day and just want to feel a win once in a while. Lately, it feels like we lose every damn time before we even begin. The odds are stacked against us. This is how Blizz loses casual players. The game has a lot of content for hardcore players, including WOW classic. Let casual players have epic BGs and LFR back. Stop premades or get them out of our que. And FFSake make marks of honor WORTH something besides feasts. I have 187 and they’re useless.
Turns out bg players get owned in ranked and prefer to just premade yeah more at 11
Idk about epics but they match premades in 10-15 mans
Theres basically an epic BG cabal that runs premades via queue synching 24/7, and from what I gather the only reason is because they can’t hack it in anything actually competitive, so they just spend all their time curb stomping randoms in epic bgs. It’s insanely cringe
Id recommend either doing normal bgs or the world pvp events for casual pvp endeavours, as blizzard seems unwilling or incapable of stopping this
Ya I tried joining ebg group once and they sat there spam dodging other premades or dropping queue when everybody didn’t get a pop and I’m like wow this is awful

Ubisoft and other companies that pursued certain ideologies are going bankrupt, Tencent just bought out Ubisoft. Sony did a 180, and ended all that junk from their company days ago, so they are only going up. Blizzards gonna change too, the share holders are not gonna let them run it into the ground. It will get better!
Follow tha money, Epic BG premades 40 player farming pvp honor gems on mass to sell on AH for gold, connected to botting gold farmers, and connected to the pvp ratings selling industry. Blizz let this fester for far too long now.
This is also the part I don’t get. I used to play classic/private servers, and did LOTS of bgs in premade groups (only way to realistically rank), and the premade vs premade games were much more fun than just 5 cap->gy stomp win in 5 min
This is a big part of it. Some of these groups are no life spam que’ing to an extent it seems to be financially motivated. Just my 2 cents.

which I can kind of get in moderation but when that’s your only content type idk it’s basically like the old honor farm wintrades where you’d just take turns aoeing each other down and they reset peoples honor level for that
also makes hk/honor even more of a pointless meme when it can be cheesed

The bg->arena pipeline is real and if these issues aren’t addressed, there’s a non-zero amount of players who will just give up on WoW pvp and go play other games (as is the case with this guy’s kids)

This really isn’t a big part of it.
These communities have been doing it for years when PvP was in no way profitable. Most of them just sit at honor cap and don’t even bother buying bloodstones lol.
The banal reality of it is that it’s just a bunch of people who can’t handle the occasional loss in random BGs clumping together to protect their fragile egos.
I believe it tries to match groups of 3 or more with other groups of 3 or more in non-epic BGs. This seems true, and I’ve seen it repeated often enough.
In epics people just find work-arounds because they are insanely risk-averse.
Also, epic premades clashing breaks the servers. Premade vs Premade epics are a fantasy. It’s just way too laggy, and as soon as a community loses it just devolves into cope and the community of “friends” collapses.
The only actual true cabal of wow pvp and it’s honestly the most heinous because they exclusively bully “casual” players.
I mean what did we expect would happen when bloodstones are selling for high gold per each.
Especially when you can make a large group of people and do premades, they’re all getting the same amount of honor to hoard bloodstones and sell $$. Figure out a way to make the most honor with the least amount of time wasted in bgs and win.
Probably the biggest incentive to pvp atm lol… The more you win the better it gets and just sell… some of these guys have so much gold now they are set for the next expansion.
Besides one can buy the cheaper stuff very low and wait till like the last few patches of the expansion to get your rating/mogs while selling all your honor away on the high end.
I think at one point the stones were selling for like 10k.

This is one of those things that blows my mind. 40 people sitting in a discord dodging other premades for unranked content is insane.

There’s that then leaving if they get another premade or are losing because they’re worried about their unranked battleground winrate stats tab. 
It’s like finding out about the people who only play PTR because it doesn’t require game time.
