Predictions for WoW Blizzcon 2019

I’d really rather be a mercenary than under the banner of Horde or Alliance. I loved the idea of mercenary mode when they introduced it. A guns for hire, but I’d like it more along the lines of a freelancer looking for work lol. It might not have much of a story line (unless we double agent ourselves ((I’m already doing that though because I’m a N’zoth follower)))

sigh. for all the hype surrounding him this entire expansion he’s just gone. lol

Because Genn is thirsty for war. he says that one day the horde will march for war again soon. Where as the horde leaders all want peace and want to be done fighting. Only Tyrande and Genn still want war

WoW 2. I hope they’ve been building a new engine for the game. It’s about time the current game gets shelved. It’s ran its course, other MMOs are actively changing up their games without just saying “Here’s a new difficultly.”

The community has also gone downhill for years and is currently at it worse. It needs something new for people to focus on.

This community would be the same in any game. The community has changed over 15 years, and the ones who were around in the beginning have grown up, moved on (in some cases), new players have come to the game, etc.

For all the bluster about vanilla WoW’s community, the same toxicity you find in the retail client, you see on the classic client. WoW 2 would change nothing.

As Vhx said.

Also it would just fracture the community. it would split the community even more

To be followed by slightly less dark elves, or maybe not quite completely light elves. And of course, miniature horse mounts for the new gnomes and any goblins that cross the line to the Alliance. Any housing will require you to regrind to exalted on every rep ever in the game, of course.

Here, a blank sheet to put your own predictions on and make a game out of the Blizzcon event~ I have seen people do this on MMO-Champion in the past (IIRC) and I think it is a bit of fun to fill one out before the con and then see which of your own predictions come true.

  • The Norse mythological variety?
  • The JRR Tolkien variety?
  • The D&D variety (Drow)?

Drow wouldn’t really work since they’re almost always evil aligned, and would be better suited for an NPC than a PC.

sure he might be “defeated” but that doesn’t mean killed, or that he “lost” considering that in the chronicles page about him it said something like “with all his planning he made sure that even him losing was still to his benefit” so what i’m hoping for is that we may defeat him but he had already set his plan into motion and unleashed C’thun or Yogg-saron (or both) and/or corrupted Azeroth’s world soul

Fracture doesn’t mean leaving, going through inter turmoil is normal. She is primarily angry with Sylvanas, and she wants justice before we get on to other things. Turning her into a villain is just wrong. Nothing dictates that she has to leave the alliance.

Just like those Ponies at the Darkmoon faire right?

Wow. Your optimism is overwhelming.

I expect more of the same, some more blather about 8.3, WC3 remastered, and maybe Diablo 4

Diablo Infernal Playable on the PC. No apologize, no we heard you, no we made a mistake, just Infernal will come out on the PC.

Genn doesn’t want war. He wanted Sylvanas.

I feel like that is the same with Tyrande… it feels like most the people who have a gripe with the Horde more or less have a gripe with Sylvanas as the root.

I can see OW2 because they want to generate money from sales on top of new loot boxes. Obviously WoW 9.0. Would love to see SC3. Would also love to see D4. I quit Hearth back when they came out with the Jabberwocky or w/e that thing was called so idc what they announce with it. HotS… quit playing as soon as they quit making it an esport so idc there either unless they announced they’re going to try again with it in esports again, but it’d have to be something pretty special.

You can probably tell I’m pretty critical of them. I honestly feel like one of those betrayed in favor of stockholders. I started playing Blizzard games back before they were publicly traded. Back when they actually cared about the games and players who played them. Now it feels like the founders either retired or were pushed out and the ones in charge see their predecessor’s work as a cash grab on the reputation of the company and titles rather than a way to make better games (case in point: Diablo Immortal).

I’ll just convince the council of spineless leaders we have now that the Zandalari are no longer a necessary ally

While I dont think we will see SC3 I think many other things will be shown this Blizzcon. Hopefully this Blizzcon is good enough to make everyone happy and all and hopefully they are smart enough to not even mention Diablo Immortal at all. Yes some people are hyped for that thing but lets be honest. It would be suicidal to show that thing this year especially when this years Blizzcon will go in one of two ways. Either the redemption arc where many are extremely happy with whats shown and some forgive the company. Or it can go the Dark arc whereas they just friggin curb stomp themselves through the ground and go thermonuclear. Im of the mind this Blizzcon is going big and will redeem many aspects of the company people have been criticizing and I doubt OW2 or whatever that is will have loot boxes especially since everything we’ve heard of it is that it is a single player/ coop game focused on story. That and with increased scrutiny by world governments I wouldnt be surprised if many companies (Blizz included) start to back off heavily in hopes it prevents government regulations
