I can’t speak for protests in other countries. My earlier statement is for modern American based protests.

Humans are humans, regardless of country of origin. Even in the USA, most of the violent protests happen after peaceful ones aren’t getting the desired effect. The problem with peaceful protests is that it’s far easier to ignore them by the higher ups as they think the protesters are weak and will roll over. Sometimes… that is the correct assumption. Other times… it’s a horribly wrong assumption.
Okay… we need to make this happen.
For Blizzcon 2019 I’m thinking:

I hate this idea almost as much as Vulpera AR.
I hate this idea more than Level Squish.
I don’t even have a third spec. But again, more bloat that will never be balanced.
Players need to stop asking for ARs so we can get back to expansion races from the start.

WoW xpack announcement
- Likely something to do with Bolvar/Lich King/Shadowlands. It all plays nicely together and recent datamining points toward this coming up soon. Potentially Sylvanas too if they’re willing to make her a full villain.
- I fully expect cross-faction grouping outside of Warmode, but not literally merged/mixed factions in the story
- I’m fully expecting to get permanent additions to our classes in 9.0 IN ADDITION to the temporary grind systems of Legion/BfA. They expressed a willingness to deal with the consequences of giving us non-temp stuff again in a semi-recent interview. I don’t think that means the AP grind is going away though.
- Given their apparent interest in leveling between the early-level power nerfs awhile back, the bracket level scaling and heirloom nerfs slightly less far back, and the revival of Classic (leveling being one of the big selling points for many people), I wouldn’t be surprised to see some kind of hybrid talent tree that calls back to the old systems (but it won’t be a direct port/reversion).
- For the same reason as above, combined with the surveys they sent out, I expect news of a level squish as well.
- Last 2 allied races. Something either related to Worgen or using the Worgen skeleton, and then probably Lightforged Forsaken (as much as I don’t want that). They might wait for some other medium for that though, since the NEXT allied races won’t even by available yet by Blizzcon.

Overwatch Spinoff announcement
- No, it won’t be “Overwatch 2”. The article talking about this said it didn’t have a title, so the author of the article labeled it that.
- Likely PvE based, and again like the article said, reminiscent of Left 4 Dead in some ways. That’s very likely, given what they’re doing with the Archives events.
- Probably no PvP or PvP limited to that game mode. They won’t want to split the competitive community.

Diablo 4 announcement
- After the “Don’t you have phones?!” debacle last year, they’re likely eager to make Diablo fans happy this time around. Even if it’s earlier than they would otherwise like to, I expect an announcement this year. Even if it’s just a teaser.
Hearthstone will probably have something, but it’s hearthstone, I don’t really care, and they have “expansions” all the time that make the game worse every time, so whatever.
I expect zilch from Starcraft. The main story there has been done for ages, it never really took off as an esport, and I just don’t expect any more significant work being put into it.
Same for HotS, especially since it’s -officially- a backburner / skeleton crew thing, even if it’s technically being developed for.

Level squish would take too much work and there’s no way Blizzard wouldn’t find a way to royally mess up a lot of older content along the way. Then we’d spend first half of 9.0.x time fixing mistakes and broken content.
