When you say a lot of people I’m guessing you mean like 14?
People still falling for the myth that flying has enough sway to alter financial numbers for Blizzard or something?

I think they’re probably going to include completion of twisting corridors and 10/10 mythic CN. In addition to a bunch of storyline stuff.
People still fall for the lie that nobody has ever quit over flying?
Millions of players left during wod after the announcement on a holiday weekend on an obscure website that the devs had been lying to the playerbase and had never intended to bring back flight.
I always asked why returning players left. An awful lot of them mentioned flight removal and pathfinder. In fact, a lot of players who left originally over pathfinder were leaving again.
But keep your head in the sand. Never ask why people left and how long they were gone.
Flying unlock requirements:
…Playerbase mass unsubs.
…Blizz: SurprisedPikachuface.jpg
If I am to believe half of the “Canceled Sub” posts that I have read, including my own, Flight will be unlocked to returning players just for S&G’s.
renown is a heckuva lot better than grinding 10 reps and completing every single quest in the game and exploring every single empty spot of the zones
I have went through about 100 Goblin gliders on my 3 60’s so far.
will be 9.1 content. renown or a 9.1 rep. nothing in 9.0 will dictate flying unlock.
I’ve heard it’s simply renown, but the existence of the revered reputation achievement might mean that could be a factor, but if you’ve done your callings every day at the very least you should be revered by now with all shadowlands factions. I certainly hope there’s no other additions to that.
12 Sylvanas’s singing.
11 Jailors leaping.
10 Reputation grinds to exalted.
9 Perfect Torgast runs.
8 Mawrats grinded daily.
7 Corridors an hour.
6 Explored Shadowlands zones.
5 HOGGERS KILLED!
4 Undead birds.
3 Ardenweald hens.
2 Bastion doves.
1 aaaand a billion gold purchase in Oribos!
…hic!
I guess “complete twisting corridors larger 8” to be a part of the requirements to get flying.
I really don’t see what the damn issue with Pathfinder was??? Most of the requirements were naturally completed. Could just be me though but first time lvling in an expansion I always do Exploration of Zone and Loremaster, then it just comes down to rep and whatever the requirements were with the 2nd part usually rep and whatever came with patch.
I’m positive I read it’s not a pathfinder that is required
Those people abhor the idea of playing the game and experiencing the content offered to them. They want ways to skip the content. Flying itself is a way to skip content and community both.
I’m not sure what the exact mindset is but I bet it has to do with not actually enjoying the game at a whole and only caring about some little time-wasting gimmicks to keep themselves busy. Hence the desire to remain in their little bubbles, doing only this single specific thing they want to do while ignoring the rest of the game.
I don’t even blame them, I blame Blizzard for turning the game into an abomination which doesn’t appeal to any specific audience.
Oh don’t worry, it’ll be unlocked in 9.1…
… 16 weeks in.
They are gating it behind renown. And you know they’re gonna pull some BS with it.
Since it’s tied to renown, my prediction - which I sincerely hope is wrong - is that we will only be able to fly in our covenant’s zone.
Which would also handle their “how do you fly between zones” problem.
You will still have to do all the quests and find all the pixels.
You mean by the few people who would normally have played that way. The people who claimed it was “natural” for them to play that way actually stopped doing those things the minute they completed those requirements.
It’s definitely a “pathfinder” that will be required.
You sound like a person who wants blizzard to provide you with “friends” because you can’t make your own.
You mean as opposed to people like you who sit in town and queue, expecting to be summoned wherever they need to be?
No thanks.
I’ve read that flying will be tied to covenant renown and obtainable in 9.1.
I wouldn’t be surprised if blizz adds a ton more renown ranks and then timegate said ranks behind another drip-fed covenant campaign. Does anyone else find it odd that there’s been nothing specific said about flight requirements?
If you don’t want to participate in PvP then you’ve got no reason to turn it on.
my bet/guess is something with torghast/maw and shadowlands reps probably…
as tedious as possible.
