Pre Patch iO rewarding .1% title

That makes sense. The pre-patch scores being counted definitely seems like an oversight. One challenge with the current system is that access to strong groups heavily influences who can push rating late in the season, which is why boosting and key sales end up becoming part of the ecosystem. With the way keys currently deplete, attempts are costly and time-gated. If Mythic+ allowed more iterative practice, similar to tournament formats, it might reduce some of those pressures and give more players a fair shot at pushing rating.

I wouldn’t truly call it cheating. That term refers to fly hacks or clipping hacks, etc thats used on classic. What happened here was they didnt disable rating gain after season ended, so people kept farming. That’s not cheating. Thats playing the game.

Crazy how you think achievements in a video game equate to meaningful status.

I think the bigger issue is clarity around when the ladder snapshot is taken. If the season is supposed to end at patch, then rating gains after that point shouldn’t affect the title cutoff. The system should probably lock the ladder when the competitive season ends so everyone is working with the same expectations. The rest of the drama tends to come from uncertainty about how that cutoff is calculated.

The cheaters that blizzard are checking for are people account-sharing or doing RMT.

I didn’t refer to people playing prepatch as cheaters, I said blizzard takes 2 months FOR checking for cheaters.

1000% sure yall cried when remix ended too.

In-game achievements do carry status within the game’s community. The point is that it’s contextual. Outside that context it doesn’t really translate to broader social status.

Achievements exist to mark a thing that was done in game. They mean something. Not sure what you think “status” means, it’s not something I mentioned, but I do maintain that an achievement marks a thing that was accomplished in the game. It’s not arbitrary, it’s very well defined, and if you tell someone you have a specific achievement they know exactly what it took to get it.

You can argue which achievements are easier or harder to get, but you can’t deny they have a meaning and that, in this case, allowing teams to cheat that meaning undermines the accomplishments of those who followed the rules.

PLZ go check this dude M raid log.His log shows 100%RMT. PLZ do something before raid means nothing. Or just let us know wow is a pay to way game.

Don’t desecrate Unbound Hero the way you did Tempered. It only means nonthing when people decided to buy it. You know who am I talking about.

Last I saw, no one’s ever used such achievements or titles as show-off trophies, people could care less. If you tried to put it out there as some sort of “status” or w/e, people would ignore you. It carries 0 weight.

Excuse you and your entire existence?

I did not ask a single question. Maybe you should spend more time reading instead of trying to look proper.

To me they scream “I don’t go out to watch movies, hang out with friends, take a walk, exercise, I just play wow all day long everyday”. Some people take this game too seriously like its the only thing to do in life. And as a result, they probably have a damaged back from sitting all day long running M+ for something 100 or so people get that goes away when they unsub or wow ends one day in the far future. Its not something they can take into the real world or put on a resume lol.

Ok friend, have a pleasant evening.

Ohhhhhh, I am far from being your friend. Good try, though.

Also, pixels on a screen still don’t amount to squat.
