Blizzard wants it to stop well they have the power to end this after all THEY created this fiasco thinking players would all support it and they were WRONG
Just man up Blizzard and fix this mess you created for yourself and offer BOTH options with a simple sharding option like for war mode only difference is you pay an npc same as exp removal
Players that want flight will be out of sync with those that DONT everyone wins
Even though I don’t think we should have to negotiate anything with blizzard, we are THEIR customers btw not the other way around, this is not a bad idea and is certainly a huge compromise for us.
Too bad devs don’t read the forums or interact with their customers to know about this solution.
I don’t particularly care who quit because of flying or anything else. I’ve had lots of WoW friends quit for myriad reasons. Mostly LIFE reasons. It really doesn’t matter in the scheme of things.
I’m still playing and that’s all my sub pays for. I’m still enjoying WoW so /shrug.
that’s really the best potential solution right there. let them know you are not satisfied. unsub, stop buying their micro-transactions. they will eventually get the hint, they did in WoD.
The thing is that you’re searching for a compromise to a compromise. Pathfinder itself is a middle of the road solution to the original issue of flight vs no flight.
The fact that we’re also going into the 4th expansion of pathfinder makes it also highly unlikely that it’s still an issue Blizzard will make drastic changes to.
Personally, I like the current system. Part I is a great goal during the beginning of an expansion and Part II gives a good goal during the middle, which historically have been the doldrums of an expansion. The system isn’t perfect but it’s a good carrot to get people out there and engaging in content.
Cutting Edge raiders don’t complain that they have nothing to do, we always have something to do. People don’t complain they have “nothing to do” because of flying; they complain they have “nothing to do” because they stick to facerolling easy mode and never go beyond it.
You’re confusing travel TO the adventure with the adventure itself. Flying doesn’t cut down on the adventure, it just lets us get there to DO the adventure.
We submit to Blizzard. That’s the solution. Their game, and Pathfinder is how we get flight. That’s the rule of the game now, which we have to deal with or go to another title. Now as for offering feedback on how it could be better…?
That isn’t the people who complain they have nothing to do either. I only do easy content and in 9 years I have only been unsubbed for about 3 months and that was solely because of no flying in WoD.
The truth is, there is tons of stuff to do in this game. More than most people could ever hope to actually do. The only reason to say “I have nothing to do” is because the person saying that doesn’t want to do what’s available.
But flying never stopped anybody from having something to do; on the contrary, it lets us get to the immense amount of stuff there is to do in the game, so we can actually do it.
It always bugs me that the same people who say “hurr durr you just want easy mode and will be bored” generally are the same people who actually don’t do much in the game (if you take a look at their Profile).
It’s the people who DO a ton of stuff in the game, like you and me, who are the biggest advocates of flying. Because we want to get to all the stuff we want to do, so we can do it.
I think current content is better without flying.
Much like I think the game is better with interrupts being off the GCD.
Fundamentally players view flight as a shortcut. Instead of going around the wall, I’ll just go straight over it. It’s damaging to gameplay, all for the sake of short term convenience. Flight after content is no longer current is a time saver, a time saver isn’t required while content is still yet current.
I think you misunderstood. I don’t do hard content. I stick to the easy content but I had 21 max level characters coming into BfA so I have lots to do generally. I just want to be able to enjoy doing world content since that is almost all I do.
I feel very sorry for the casual or new customer that shows up. They have so much to grind to even begin to enjoy the content with their friends. It is not just flying, but all the ap and now it will be all the grinding for the cloak power - this is not a game for anyone new, certainly not anyone in the middle of an xpac.
