Hey guys and gals, been a while sense I have posted here: first let me say everyone looks amazing, second something very interesting has popped up in the PTR coding for 10.1

I chose Spartoi for my Dracthyr’s name.

In Greek mythology, Spartoi (also Sparti or Spartae) are a mythical people who sprang up from the dragon’s teeth sown by Cadmus and were believed to be the ancestors of the Theban nobility.

oh hey this thread, been a while

What i’m currently running with, but it changes frequently depending on how i’m feeling.


Hard to tell from this angle, but the dragon form has magenta back scales to match the visage hair.

With this outfit i am on an eternal quest to find a pair of mail or cosmetic boots that match the specific tone of gray from the fireplume set. But it looks fine without, too. There’s a cloth pair that’s perfect though, and it frustrates me that i can’t use it.

First Heroic kill, out of seven or eight of us Evokers, none dropped. None dropped in any of my Normal kills, nor in my Heroic kills, until this week. All three of us got the gem in Heroic. It is indeed rare, but probably not as rare as it seems (especially if you’re not running with a lot of Evokers, since it’s personal loot).

In-game, talking with my out-of-guild buddies, it does seem to be relatively common to see those drops, too. Persevere! I don’t think many regular forum goers do content with a decent chance at it dropping on their Evokers, either, so the forums tend to paint a dire picture without a lot of first-hand experience with it.
