And pathfinder 2 took me about 9 days of doing dailies in each zone which I did in an hour to hour and a half.

I’d rather be spending those 14 hours doing something I actually enjoy doing.

More than 1/2 of my guild didn’t get flying in Legion - and won’t get it in BfA - because the grind is ridiculous. Flying is optional, it’s true, but it does give a huge advantage.

Pathfinder, I believe, has 2 fatal flaws which are driving people off. #1 is the artificial time gate. Having to wait 11 months into an expansion - pretty much half-way into it - is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to have to wait for flying. #2 is the rep grind, which is exceedingly dull and also feels out of place.

There are a lot of potential fixes to make PF not suck, but Blizzard (read: Ion) isn’t showing signs of either acknowledging the problem exists, or cares that it exists, which adds to players’ frustration.

What I want is flying available within two months of the expansion. Either through gold or pathfinder, or some new system. Just about anything would be better than waiting around 10 months to finally fly.

I would love it if it were purchasable for a REASONABLE amount of gold EARLY in the expansion.
Knowing how things are going recently with this company - I would be very careful what I asked for. I can easily see them requiring a HUGE amount of gold that very few players actually can obtain without purchasing tokens.

8.2 made me realize Pathfinder was a mistake to be added to the game. Nazjatar and Mechagon didn’t meet my expectations so I shouldn’t have to play content I don’t like to get flying. I also decided to stay grounded for the rest of BFA. I barely use the vendors of each faction once I unlock pathfinder. However if flying should be account wide once unlocked on main then pathfinder should be explore zones, complete storyline and pay with gold. Screw grinding rep for the faction. It shouldn’t have been a requirement in the first place.

Yes and No. While rep grind is a bad idea. It should not be easy as get to max level and pay with gold.
I think you also need to do main current story and explore the land and maybe even be delayed a month. This on top of being max level and paying gold.

PF1 flying should be awarded as soon as it’s completed, we shouldn’t have to wait for PF2. If they want us to experience all content, that’s okay, but the rep grind is total BS as is waiting for PF2 to be released.

Right now I have benched almost all of my toons because it’s too much of a pain to try to level them without flying.

With Pathfinder you unlock flying account-wide. You wouldn’t have to park your toons and can fly while leveling.

We should be able to buy flying when we reach max level. No rep grind, no requirements otherwise, no waiting. Hit max, pay, fly.

Under this system you’re asking for there’s no flight until max level. Meaning you wouldn’t be able to fly while leveling so your complaint and reason to park your toons still stands.

Really? I got pathfinder one basically just leveling 110-120. Then I got pathfinder 2 in about 6 days, of a couple hours a day worth of quests in each zone.

I don’t mind pathfinder in current content, and I don’t even mind being grounded for an arbitrary amount of time to experience the content the way it was intended.

I wish they’d add flying for gold in old content, though. I probably won’t have legion flying until it gets added to timewalking because I hate grinding rep in current content, let alone old content.

Be careful what you wish for. Flying will be 500k gold every expansion. Itll push token sellers to spend more money on the game so they can have flying day 1. Not a bad move money wise if blizzard did this.

I honestly don’t care as long as it’s account-wide.

I can actually handle the relatively easy grind that is Pathfinder but I couldn’t be against getting flying the moment my first toon hits 120. However I really don’t want to do that on every single toon when it hits max level.
