Possible scam?

Some time ago, I had this belf staring at me while I actually was AFK in I think alterac valley. He did the ol emote instead with the /e [player] has reported you for being AFK. Type /AFK Clear" and me being preoccupied while eating a calzone and having WoW minimized I was like “crap”

I was dumb enough to fall for it. Typed it in and instantly ported back over to Orgrimmar before realizing what had happened.

I logged out for the day.

It’s totally a scam. They’re phishing for account information. The spelling of “Blizzard” always involves alt codes or missing/extra letters.

I used to belong to a forum where a woman decided to teach us about phishing scams. She had been suckered in 3 times by them, so she had the wisdom necessary, or so she thought. We were like, OMG, you got taken in 3 times? 3 TIMES???

so many years, this still works.

Now another fan favorite is portals. This is how I know KAV was a bust this year. Not a big hit as I see it.

Portal trolls don’t even buzz by to get noobs to take those portals out of the tunnel in 2 minute wait start. Boring really.

Always fun to ask so…were they nice and sent you to solid land. Or…did you get dalaran’d. the other other, 200 feet to your death dalaran.

Your name alone tells me this is some kind of joke but just in case, don’t even click on messages like that.

It’s not legit.

I got whispered to help out with donations for a Nigerian prince in exile, wonder if it’s a scam.

And you just left the man hanging?!

You must be very important to Blizzard for them to personally whisper you ingame.

I told them I’m already friends with a Nigerian prince in exile, it would be impossible to support his claim!

Scam. If it doesn’t have the Blizzard Logo, always assume it’s a scam.

/slaps this link with an over the top punching sound effect accompanying it.
