It seems extremely ‘elastic’ to me. Like, it -could- cover most every post here if one wanted it to. Or it might not, if you used it conservatively. It seems to give moderators extremely wide birth in terms of discretion about it.

I looked at my settings and the only box I have checked is the one about quoting highlighted text. It’s mysterious.

I already see there being a new dynamic with these forums for sure, but I am curious to see how the morderation and flagging will turn out. I already saw a thread get hidden from being flagged, in a way that kind of brings self moderation back to the community like when we had downvote burying. But I’ve also heard that people have been suspended on the OW forums for flagging unnecessarily.

Actually, I find it much faster. Just highlight the part of the post you want to quote, then click Reply. Much faster than the old quote the whole thing, and then delete everything you’re not replying to.

It would be such a shorter list for me to say what I don’t like so instead i will just say what I like the best. Notifications are awesome! Emoji’s- YAY! Seeing what has been happening with my posts while I was gone up in the top right is fabu!

One of the biggest features I wanted was a better way to keep track of threads I have participated in, so tracking is an amazing addition.

Beyond that, I’m hoping they also plan to add an identifier that highlights the new posts by the OP. With all the character names I see on the forums I don’t always remember which one was the OP when scrolling through.

Edit: For example, Xoja is the OP of this thread (I think?) and subsequent posts by the same person aren’t highlighted in anyway.

Hmmm interesting. I thought I had found your solution. I haven’t looked in the bug reports section for the forums but that might be a place to look to see if it has in fact been reported.

Except you could do that on the old forums too. This is just removing content to remove content.

YES makes it easy to check postings so you’re not digging through threads trying to figure out if any one replies etc. I also like the flow of commentary in the threads now.
