Sometimes when you throw the dice a seven comes up on the first roll.

In craps, a seven is the most likely roll. More ways to get a seven than any other number.

Right, and while it is the most likely of any one number it is not more likely than all the others combined.
So if you roll a seven on the first role, you win.
But if you roll anything else, then you have to roll that number again before you get a seven to win.
So in the end the House has the advantage.
But you had a good run because you rolled a seven on the first roll. All the loot in the pot goes to you.
