The NPC on my realm is broken, Alonsus Faol won’t make the Hammerfall Portal for anyone there, Quest called The Sunwalker Path. After you talk to him he normally conjures the portal, but his book appears and he does nothing. Any chance he can be reset or something on my realm? Thanks
Customer Support does not have that sort of tools to do something like that. You’ll most likely need to to submit a bug report so the QA team can investigate and pass information along for the development to fix.
Okay thanks, I was hoping if they couldn’t, they could fast track getting it fixed, we can’t progress the quest chain at all
Sadly there is no fast tracking when it comes to code. It does need to be properly investigated and tested before the fix gets pushed
Well as others said the CS forum cant help you on this.
In the meantime you can fly down to the Arathi Highlands (and talk to Zidormi if you are in the wrong timeline at the bottom of the zone) to continue questing.
We do have various teams that are keeping an eye out for reports of potential bugs, especially right after a big patch language/expansion release. The QA and Dev teams are gathering those and working to get out hotfixes as quickly as they can.
As long as you post in the Bug Report forums, especially if we can get multiple people with the same issue (preferably in the same thread), that helps a great deal.
Just FYI, this issue is already under investigation.
Same problem, he just takes out his book. I tried flying down there, and still now working. Quest just says take the portal. Tried talking to Zidormi, and changing which time line.
Oh I didn’t realize the quest had the portal as a requirement and not a (optional).
Ditto. The portal to Hammerfall was not created at the Sunwell; can’t proceed with quest “The Sunwalker Path.”
Also, multiple people at the quest location are saying the same thing for this quest: no portal created.
If you go to Dornogal, and take the Arathi portal next to Faerin, and then walk the path leading to Hammerfall, Arator and Alonsus will be there and walk with you into the area to Sunwalker Dezco.

If you go to Dornogal, and take the Arathi portal next to Faerin, near the inn/flight master where weeklies were given (If it is not there accept the Arathi Highlands wyest from her). Then fly over to the bend in the road before Hammerfall and walk the path leading to Hammerfall, Arator and Alonsus will be there and walk with you into the area to Sunwalker Dezco.

The Arathi portal in Dornogal is also missing. I’m guessing because I completed that quest line so your mileage will vary using the work around.
Confirming that this workaround works. Not sure about people who have already done the quest, but I never did trouble in the highlands and it works wonder. Cheers mate!
never done the quest .. portaled to hammerfall .. I can see arathor and alonsus and they aren’t moving forward. Unfortunate.
Walk down to the bend down the road then back up toward the gate on foot, it should give it time to proc,c
Try other portals or flying to the highlands but only to the bend south of the road then walking to the gate of Hammerfall on foot, slow, but it should give it time to proc.
there is a fix! I saw in another post, take the portal from Dorongal by the inn to Arathi-highlands. then walk the path into the city. Don’t fly in.. Alansis and Arathor will walk with you inside allowing you to progress!
