Probably for 9.3’s new no flying zone

They should just have all the mages channel a huge mega portal in the center of the room the player can click on and go to wherever (that there’s already portals for) they want.

I said this when they first broke the portals, my solution above has the most long term applicability as they’ll never have to expand the size of the portal room, just add a new entry to the list gg

Eventually the portal room, if it were to continue to expand, will be its own little city lol until Blizz decided one day that they feel like spring cleaning and removing portals again and shrinking the portal room causing another uproar.

Yeah, if you ignore the fact that the aliance portals are all farther away than your second room.

I doubt it is Bias and more like they didn’t get a chance to adequate the right amount of resources to re doing portal rooms. Honestly portal room are aethertically pleasing but it would be nice to have a guy we can talk to in that room that just telephoto us by clicking dialogue too.

I will say it’s faster to run out of the horde portal room to a space where you can mount than it is on the alliance side.

Curse that tight little spiral corridor. I will never forgive it for existing and ruining my chi torpedoes.

I’ll still never understand who’s idea was it to dump the horde portal room inside their front wall. That’s some real small brain thinking.

To be fair that Mage Tower has been there since forever and had the old HFP portal.

Org does feel like a last minute decision. “Uh, where we be putting this portal room boss.” “Whelp, what about random corner number 27” and “oops we forgot to make it big enough.”

I mean honestly it is senseless that Silvermoon or Suramar aren’t hosting the portal room for the Horde. I understand why the Alliance has ours in Stormwind. You guys burned down the tree and I guess people don’t really like our void and rocks crib.

Sunfury Spire AND the Sanctum of Order are both perfect for it.

Sounds like the Horde need to study civil engineering more. Maybe ask the Blood Elves and Nightborne for some tips?

They can just add stairs going down in the middle of the Horde one and add another portal room down there. The tower for Alliance can get more stairs and be extended upwards.

Since cata yes I was simply referring to the deadmines which the entire dungeon was because they (architects builders etc) didn’t get the pay they were told so they formed the defias planned to sail that boat out of deadmines into stv and loop around westfall to besiege stormwind. although in retrospect it wasnt the fault of the citizens of stormwind merely the house of nobles being greedy.

You would think a room of portals could contain a telePORT to the room below or above since the namesake and for functionality, lazy mages.

(Commentary): I wouldn’t mind an expansion to the Alliance portal room to be honest.
