i’d prefer to have the hearth to dal, and the port to… anywhere else in the area, over having 2 options which take me to the same place.
maybe i’m just a weirdo.

You’re confused on this. See, when something good is added to the game, Blizzard is the only one responsible.
When it’s something someone doesn’t like, Activision is the only one responsible.
I never understood the complaint about the Broken Shores Dalaran portal because of the stone.
Probably a flavor thing, they didn’t want to have portals to two dalarans.
That one that really annoys me is the pandaria portal. Who thought THAT was a good idea.
The Pandaria portal has been going to the village since Mists. They just moved the other end of the connection.
There are no Dalaran portals because technically Dalaran is not at either location.
They started this in Legion with the “Wrath” portal from Legion Dal going to Dragonblight. Since there would need to be 2 Dalaran portals with a very high possibility of a third sometime in the future, it makes sense to future proof the portal room.
This is exactly the reason. Nothing else.
Actually there is a Dalaran portal. The portal to Northrend goes to Dalaran.
I’m not going to complain about another option. Giving us a portal to Azsuna and NOT taking our Broken Isle Dalaran portal away from us is a good thing!
Because the longer you spend traveling from point A to point B the longer you’re playing, the slower it takes to do what you need to do, keeps you subbed longer and inflates their numbers.
THey probably put a portal to there or any other random place in the Broken Isles because there is already a hearthstone to Legion Dalaran.
The best thing about the portal room is the portal to Northrend Dalaran, imo. Not having to wait for the zeppelin is nice.
Their stated goal in the rooms was to make the world feel bigger by removing the other portals. Which makes no logical sense since it only makes people once again hang out in one location. I dunget it.
However…
(puts out a little tray of cookies for all to enjoy because I don’t feel like working this morning)
Yes, it makes you use a flight plan to get to Dalaran and the shrine. Using flight plan makes you spend a more time in game to get where you want to go . More time in game is all Blizzard wants. More time played looks good on them, and they think the more time we play the more fun we are having.
Stone in your bag for N.D.?
Mop is so Mop… Takes 45sec longer.
And 45sec longer for every player, every time they go there will add up to hours and hours of time played every week. Exactly want blizzard wants.
Hey Investors LOOK! We got them to play X amount of extra hours this week, See We are doing a great job!
Hey Investors, LOOK! They Must be having so much fun they were loged in X amount of hours this week.
So are you the one who wasted a hour of my time in the mythic +8 with 5 deaths in the first pull?
Because we all have a Broken Isles Dalaran hearthstone so we don’t need a portal there. You get it when you first start Legion content so the portal is helpful for fresh 100’s to start their Legion leveling.
Same idea with Draenor. You have a Garrison hearthstone, so instead the portal goes to the island which is another frequented area.
If I were living there, and had a vote, I’d go back to Northrend. I mean, which one would you rather look at? Mountains and forests, or barren demon-sharted wastelands?
Never mind, you’re a warlock. I know which one you’d pick. The rest of us would rather see nice scenery while we enjoy a pint, that’s all I’m saying.
Why are you going to new Dalaran that often?
