Necro, only because I like summoner/pet classes
Heck Iâd just take a summoner who can call on beasts/monsters from every part of the cosmic chart.

KT can be shamans and they are Humans
Eh, theyâre not shaped the way I like. Iâm picky about what my character looks like and the armor and weapons they use.
Iâd like some type of caster hero class, We already have DK/DH/monks which are primarily melee. Also was thinking a necromancer of some kind but seems a little too close to a warlock.
Mage tank spec like an earth mage or something.
H: Blademaster (Orc,Magâhar)
A: Mountain King (Dwarf, DI)
But among those you listed⌠Bard.
Necromancer, can easily make it a mail user and model it off of Diabloâs Necromancers.
Bard and Dark Ranger are to close to Hunter. Alchemist is a profession so no.
So the only viable ones are Dragonsworn, Tinker, and Necromancer.
Bard would be perfectly reasonable. Have the support functions work in a way that they mesh with the WoW system of DPs/Tank/Heals being the only available roles.
Could be an absolute troll and make it a Pop Star class instead thatâs only available to Goblins, Gnomes, and Mechagnomes but that would be going too far.
Anywho, conceptually the main things I think of when I think of Bards are:
Access to moderate melee skills and moderate spell access.
Supports the party passively while performing priority actions, either contributing to heal or control via damage.
Has some affinity for music/dance/performance skills.
Example for one spec (All I could think of on the fly)
Minstrel Spec - The Minstrel has three Ballads that make up their core abilities. Ballad of the Grovewarden which increases the groupâs health by 10% and armor by 10%; Ballad of Yseraâs Tears that increases Resource Generation and Health Regeneration while played, and Ballad of Ebonhornâs Journey which increases in-combat movement speed by 10% and reduces falling damage by 100% while active.
A bard can only maintain one active Ballad at a time, and if you switch Ballads there is a 10s window between switching again. Some other balancing factors may be needed.
Damage spells/melee strikes for Bards would be called âInterludesâ, they deal decent damage and have debuffing effects while the Spec-specific Interludes might also deal specific aspected damage (Minstrelâs would deal Nature damage for instance).
All bard Specs, like Paladin would use Mana as a resource.
100% this!
Imagine a Blademaster class that was the much needed new stealth class.
Because the question isnât, âDo you want a new class implemented?â
Besides, class balance is a journey, not a destination. Things will never be equal until weâre all doing the exact same damage with the exact same toolset. If there is any variability in playstyle, there will be variability in performance.
I could see dragonsworn being a future âcovenantâ style alignment system.
Essentially WoWâs take on the DnD Dragon Disciple prestige class. I find it amusing that you pretty much immediately described a possible implementation of the class after questioning it, too.
Then thats my choice. It had a cool name. I figured itâd be something awesome
How is Dark Ranger even on this list? Itâs literally just a forsaken hunter.
Asian Female
Huh no. Dark Rangers use Shadow/Void abilities which are in the form of curses and mind controlling abilities. Also, theyâre the master of stealth just like Rogues.
Matter of fact, theyâre pretty much a Death Knight meets Rogue than a Hunter.
i want my bard. i want to sooth my raid with melodies, buff them to upbeat jazz, heal them with melodic ballads or smash dudes with a guitar while rockân out.
So hunters with spookier glyphs. Still doesnât need to be a whole new class.
Iâd like to add another to the list: unicorn. Iâd like to play the unicorn class. Preferably one with a mohawk.
I donât see why not. We could really use another range-weapon-using class, especially if it wears mail.
They would have to change lore for that but oh well. Better changed lore than a 5th leather class!
