Because theres really no way to respond.
- Outside of a single (one) raid encounter, its not taken in raids
- Its not taken in Delves
- Its not taken for WQs or world bosses
So it seems the only effect the nerf has is on m+…which kind of tears down your entire argument
Blizzard will never again understand any in-game issue because the devs no longer play WoW.
I used this totem as ele… Resto has nothing to do with it. The totem was a massive god send when your teammates are too stupid to interrupt. It also took a lot of stress off the healers during one of the affixes. A 2 minute cooldown on something that was needed nearly every time it was off cd during certain weeks is a pretty dumb change.
sounds to me we just need to bring three shamans that week for every dungeon
This is like the pve being balanced around pvp trashy problem wow use to have. Now a classes kit is being balanced around a single piece of content.
They make all these annoying things in all of their content. Like playing rogue/cat is annoying cause almost everything has some dot ability they can hit you with and now you have to wait for it to go away cause the slightly tickle of damage completely disrupts your hiding.
I don’t like feeling so apathetic to this crap as i wanna enjoy my class and not worry that its gonna get shanked in an alley cause it does too well in ONE SINGLE PIECE OF CONTENT.
It’s so stupid they design some dungeons to just spew poisons like diarrhea after taking a laxative and think its a clever design. They are not clever in their designs at all and its just spewing crap for the sake of spewing crap.
PVP is an afterthought.
And even in PVP, it just makes some classes vastly better against others… to what point?
Letting one class negate poisons with such ease leads to two things: Poisons not being used, or shaman “mandatory.”

No…just a single ability. Which was only used in a single form of content. And only 25% of the time during that content.
Theres ways to avoid this…
Like you said. Its only affecting a small group of people, and by the sounds of it, not in any content you do so youve got nothing to worry about. If you dont do m+, you dont have any reason to take the talent.
While there is ways like interrupts and stuns they have mobs out there that just do it as an instant attack or mobs will be immune to stuns of have armored cast bars.
As for the totem i used it many times in other content, I’ve used it in delves and in the world where they see fit to hit us with a high damage poison for some reason on world mobs. Now that its 3 minutes it really is a dead talent. They keep robbing me of my totems and its becoming so disheartening.
I like using totems but them having such long cooldowns feels like they are balancing around the old pillars of wow where it was slower then but they make everything fast pace now. If they wanna get rid of the totems just do it and stop jerking us around. Do it you cowards.
Like youre supposed to weigh when to use them and not spam them? Huh. Utility being utilized and not part of a dps rotation…weird.
As is, for delves and open world stuff, it being dropped to 2 minute cooldown isnt hardly going to change anything.
Even in dungeons that have a high use for it outside of the specific affix requiring dispels, its still only being used half as often as it could be.
In a 25 minute dungeon run it can be used 33 times as it stands. But its only being used about 15 times.
In a 25 minute run with the new CD timer, it can still be used 13 times.
Its not the end of the world
I don’t use them in my rotation but with how much things go off in places like having to time tremor with fears as they still like to have instant fears at times to save people from running into another pack or something down to damage reduction totems to keep people from being snapped in half so easily at times. I play resto shaman and i use a lot of the utility totems to try and play a support role i just type on this char cause i don’t wanna have to keep switching to see if anyone responds due to the changes they made a bit back on the forums.
This change isnt going to stop you from using the totem or stop you from playing a support role.
The whole point of my last post is that the change to a 2 min cd from 45 seconds isnt as “game breaking” as everyone makes it out to be for the reasons i highlighted
It’s not that its the fact these things tend to be a catalyst for changes that people don’t ask for.

Not really no. I mained a Feral for like 5 years. I was the bottom of the barrel when it came to changes and tuning.
But given that, im a roll with the punches kind of guy. Live learn adapt

Unfortunately you can’t prove that, so it is just a blank answer from a player mad at himself.
The solution will be to make Purify spirit to also dispel poison every 8 sec , that way the 2 min of PCT will not be as bad , Mass dispel remove all magic effect instantly , but priest also can remove magic on one target every 8 sec , so that will be fair that way
