Even if the ring is completely useless and not really something for xmog people still want to see the story tied to it.

Is the effect active? There are so many things with their effect deactivated, I stopped keeping track.
why? The last time I used it there it did not do damage because things instantly die and the scaling on it is piss poor. Also at one point like the above poster they were disabled in some timewalking dungeons completely.
Definitely not something worth for timewalking. If anything the epic precursor rings are more valuable.
Just wait for WoW Classic to come around to WoD / Legion to collect your CM armor sets and MT skins.
Then when retail wow dies and classic wow catches up to where retail is you’ll have those skins /armor. Easy !

yeah the epic rings, not the actual legendary rings… the legendary rings require multiple people in the group to have it for the on-use effect to work… but the epic pre-cursor rings grant you a buff, which still functions in timewalking…but u cant get the epic ones anymore with the legendary questline removed.
i mean, are timewalking dungeons hard? no… but its fun to wear your old stuff…i ALWAYS wear my original warglaives on my DH when i tank timewalkings and i use my valanyr to heal timewalkings on my paladin…
its just fun.

Classic kinda proved it was not though.
Raid was cleared within the hour of landing on Classic servers. Asmongold full cleared it week 1.
How much did they cost you ?
The quest line can exist without the reward.
I hope they don’t use the legendary version, because that is absolutely worthless.
The epic ring just before the legendary upgrade is the only useful thing in TW.

I was active duty during Legion and was busy, to say the least. Went through a bad breakup as well as my mother having a stroke. I managed these things and made time to do the MT when I could. I didn’t get them all, but got the majority. A year is more than enough time to deal with your problems and organize your schedule. Suck it up.

the challenge in some of the items you listed can never be replicated…that’s why they were removed.
as some above have stated, classic is a prime example of that 
they’ll probably release stand alone xpacs someday, and then you can see for yourself how every player gets the sets/achievements/rewards with little, to no effort.
but enjoy your TCG stuff though!

Haha well it ain’t all the same, but I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that do I.
Of course it’s not. The point is, it’s not incumbent upon the game to accommodate my life, or anybody else’s. Some times stuff happens and you miss out. Sometimes that stuff is intense, but let’s be honest- 70% of the player base didn’t miss the MT skins because they were fired, injured, or otherwise incapacitated from having the opportunity to make it happen if they wanted to.
Rather they make new challenging content with new rewards.
