Make a token system so we can exchange it for one item or set at a time. Make them take a while to get (because we all know Blizz LOVES time gating), so it will keep people going for a while. Give those who already have the designs something that shows “1st Edition” or something that shows up when inspected that gives a nod to those who got it when it was current.
I have the Panda CM Paladin armor, and I’m 100% cool with others rocking the look as well. Heck, I wish it had more colors!
Contact a GM. I deleted my Paladin and Warrior that I made in 05, and they were able to restore both of them. Both were deleted sometime during either Wrath or Cata, and the GM was able to bring them back during BFA.
If you’re wondering why I had them restored, I completely forgot that I achieved rank 9 on them during vanilla and wanted the PvP transmog.
Just FYI, Ion addressed this thanks to Annie Fuschia asking some excellent questions. (def check out her interview, as she asks many questions this community in particular has interest in)
I think he has to be political with his answers sometimes and even if he says it won’t come back they also said they weren’t going to do classic either
Agreed, they should bring back all those things, but scale the quests and instances to max level. However, that’s probably too much work for the devs who make fewer and fewer 5 man instances each xpac. That’s just lazy.
His answer was good. He basically said, in the nicest way possible, “No, those things aren’t coming back, we’re going to preserve it, and while we won’t expand it too much beyond what it is already, we’re going to make sure people know people were there, and they performed within that time frame”. Good. Can’t ask for better. Nice job Ion.
This is the hunter that I completed MoP CM’s on. She’s frozen in time, I don’t play her anymore. I haven’t played her since. CMs and I think I might have leveled her for legion and dropped it, I can’t remember.
It took a lot of time and effort and I was playing during that time, have the armor and the memories and it was one of the coolest things EVER to me and my friends when we finally did all of them.
I would LOVE it if blizzard created CM’s for MoP/WoD or whatever in the form of timewalking to get them close to how they were for us back then so players can experience how fun and rewarding it was.
As a person who completed them, I want more people to see that and get the rewards! I literally do not care about “prestige.”
Bring them back, make them rewarding. FFXIV has all of their old “prestige” stuff still active, you just have to go and do it in the real, challenging way and NOBODY complains if you got Legend then, vs Legend now.
He will go back on this words, especially, when the community continues to be upset about this. How do you think the recent LFD/HMT/Tauren customization came into existence after the last BlizzCon for 9.1.5? They hadn’t any planned and people went ballistic.
This is just another situation where they have to bend the knee and I fully expect this to happen.
Same here… i did cmodes on three toons and would NEVER feel that my achievement is ruined because a new person earned this mog almost ten years later.
I tanked season 1 and season 3 of shadowlands on this paladin but ultimately decided i don’t really like paladins very much… so, this character is literally gonna waste away… I’m not going to be levelling him in DF, at most, he’s gonna sit at rustfeather and camp that mount for the rest of his days.
this cmode gear on my paladin, as well as his season 11 elite set, and full set of mage tower weapons for all three specs are gonna just sit in the closet while i use him to farm rustfeather for years (because let’s be real, thats how long its gonna take me to get that mount lol).
I would be happy if someone new had the opportunity to earn these mogs and enjoy them as much as I did when I played my paladin.
I’m gonna be real… i genuinely don’t understand people who think this way.
You got your achievement and you enjoyed it… you don’t lose value on your achievement if people later earn it in an activity that was built to be the exact same difficulty. You still have your mog to use… they don’t “take it away from you”.
I dunno. It’s been 18 years and I still don’t have an unarmored epic mount or a tabard from the TBC opening.
And I know people love to use the Classic servers as an example of their not-set-in-stone no but there were no illegal CM sets that thousands of people were wearing so I don’t think that’s a good comparison. They had the perfect chance to bring something back they said they wouldn’t with the MT. To me that shows they’re going to stand firm on this.
That’s very nice for both of you but you don’t speak for everyone that got a CM set.
Same happened with the Pathfinder and now it’s gone.
Don’t count on it, the customer knows usually what’s best for them, if the majority speaks out about this. Sooner or later they have to bend, because it’s a topic which will never go away and clearly indicates bad management coming from the developers. And Microsoft will not have this.
