In dragonflight with inspiration it kinda made sense not being able to set a quality cause you couldn’t really guarantee it but now with inguinity you can. Can we please get public work orders updated with quality so we can play the game instead of spamming trade chat trying to find someone to craft our pieces? Maybe I’m wrong but I see no harm in players being able to put up pieces for max quality and allowing the crafters to decide if its worth pressing that button or not.
It’s mostly done so you have to know a crafter or have to find one personally, enchancing the crafter gameplay. There are options but there is currently not much people willing to use them, some websites like https://www.easycraft.io or https://wowforgefinder.com have been trying to make a repertory of crafters.
IMO they should just get rid of the whole order system entirely.
Let crafters craft the base items as BOE and sell them on the AH, make the items for stats and embelishments work such that players can click and apply them to base items, and then make the BOP mats work the same way or have an NPC next to the upgrade NPCs that takes them and applies them to the base item to set the appropriate ilevel.
If they added a “star” requirement to public crafting, they may as well just remove all the 1 - 4 options. And people will only provide the cheapest mats, hoping the crafter will burn 1k concentration on their 100 gold tip order…
Yes, with concentration it makes more sense.
However, there would be few problems with it like public order craft charges (atm 1 per day), many orders would expire, since there are many more customers than crafters.
Besides, this would go against Blizzard goal to improve social interaction for which we cant blame them.
Public orders are fast and you don’t have to talk with a crafter nor find a guild. If you want to set a minimum quality, find a crafter or find a guild. The system is perfectly fine.
Also hard no, this completely undermines the crafting system and skill levels.
So back to old system?
Crafts would cost less than mats on AH, good for buyers, not so much for crafters.
Crafted stuff is worthless compared to raw mats in TWW, I dunno what you’re talking about. In some outlier situations maybe you make more, but not by a lot.
This.
No idea what you mean by " Crafted stuff is worthless compared to raw mats in TWW", but Im buying raw mats everyday, crafting things and sell it and my gold stash going up, not down.
