I agree, if its true then it does come across as a Dragon Flight 2.0 thematically.
But some people are just flipping out foaming at the mouth over this.
We need to see the systems.
And I find it curious that this individual was able to leak zone art but the same presentation they had access to didn’t highlight any systems, class art-work, etc? Those are usually coupled into the same expansion presentation.

The closer you look at the images the more the quality starts to fall apart. Especially look at how the bridge is positioned in the last one.

Just my two bolts but it is neat with the inclusion of the Skardyn which I think makes this leak legit and follows Iridikron’s plot with Xal’atath.
https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Skardyn
When the High Thane of the Wildhammer clan, Khardros Wildhammer, personally slew Modgud, queen of the Dark Irons and commander of the siege, most of the Dark Irons fled towards their home city, but as the Wildhammer army pursued the main force some Dark Irons instead fled into Grim Batol. The descendants of these Dark Irons were transformed by the evil inside Grim Batol, ironically caused by the curse invoked by their ancestors’ sorceress queen through the use of Xal’atath
More animal than sentient being but not without cunning, they are described as being close in shape to a dwarf, but with clawed, paw-like hands, covered in black, coarse, scales on their bodies (even where there should be a beard), and a double-forked tongue. Their bodies are slightly shorter than the average dwarf, but have slightly extra width made up of muscle, from digging through earth with their bare hands. Their hands allow them to run as quadrupeds, and even scale cave walls and ceilings like spiders. Despite their stocky shape, they can move with far more swiftness than one would assume. Even when disarmed, they can fight with tooth and claw. A mouth full of sharp, reptilian teeth is used to devour any kind of meat they come across, no matter what state it’s in; this causes them to have foul breath and a bite that can make a victim ill. Their eyes are red, much like modern Dark Irons, described as molten earth, blood red, and crimson. They tend to hiss, will howl when hunting, and their laughter sounds like someone choking on something. The skardyn will use their sense of smell to examine their surroundings, such as the earth, air, and what life there is around them when hunting (and presumably tracking). While there are male and female skardyn, even dwarves cannot tell the difference between the two genders.

It’s a shame Tom Bombadil didn’t make the cut into the movies. Would’ve been the greatest moment in all of cinema history.

Spoiler tags for a fabricated leak?

I’m disappointed not because I had my own pet theory that didn’t happen to end up true, I’m disappointed because yet another magically hidden island is boring at this point. The third time is not the charm with this one. With MoP it was fine. With DF it was okay. It’s getting stale now.
The expac not taking advantage of 20 years of WoW by making it an awesome expac set on the original continents is just a huge missed opportunity. Guess we’ll have to just content ourselves with doing Doomwalker again, doing Molten Core again this time with a 20% exp boost and a dinky little firework. And that’s it.

I don’t think the supposed new continent is hidden by Magic?
It just states that the island lays beyond the Horizons.
And we’ve always known Azeorth has more islands.
But this is one of the community theories I listed as example lol.

If I’m right that video is just some fan made garbage to mislead people, it’s been picked apart a lot lately. No need to worry about it. We’ll find out what’s really going on in about a week or so from Blizzcon.

Avaloren was inaccessible because of storming seas and something being on there that not even the titans could do anything about. It isn’t just another island cluttering up the middle of the map. They’re setting it up with several hints in this expac.
People had this “”“theory”“” because it would’ve been good. It would’ve made sense. Celebrating 20 years of WoW in the biggest way possible. I’m sure they’ll add an awesome 3 poly model of an old item to Doomwalker for the 20th anniversary though, it’ll be so sick.

I wish it was a joke but the remaining treadmill players that make up the dead community are perfectly fine with no story, and no world or solo content in WoW at all. In fact, they may as well not even bother making a new continent or having people level, the remaining people don’t even want this. You expected them to do more for the 10th expansion, the 20th year of WoW, and the 30th for the IP? Should have lowered expectations to nothing. They were never going to change the formula and add anything new for people to care about, hop on the treadmill, do m+, raid or pvp, or just quit. That’s the message it’s been for about 8-9 years especially.
Going to add, don’t expect a new race or new class, or new specs for existing classes. All of this is too much work for the now trillion dollar company. Don’t expect any new fun systems that wouldn’t just be borrowed power in some form, player housing doesn’t exist. All you can expect is a new continent, a new level cap of 80, new dungeons and raids and that’s it. Hand over $90 for basically mediocre garbage as they refuse to change the formula or do anything new.

So a new fake leak does the rounds and the masses get all bent out of shape over it?
