Please stop censoring the bloody game

I mean, yes, but it’s also not inaccurate.

I’d say more than a few of the timbers that make up the house that is world of warcraft are rotten, and Blizzard has already replaced many of them (such as getting rid of references to Alex Afrasiabi and Jesse McCree for example). But in getting rid of those rotten timbers, they’ve also taken a good look at other areas of the house and saw some problems with the masonry and the layers of paint.

Smaller things that if left untouched don’t really hurt anyone, but they look at bit weird all the same, so Blizzard is cleaning up the mess and making everything look nice and neat.

And sure, some players are looking at that cracked masonry and mismatched paint and are saying: “This is fine.” and they’re getting outraged at the changes, but just like the ‘This is fine’ meme, it’s not really fine, and Blizzard is changing things to make it better.

There’s such a difference in color on her chest vs her face I always thought she was wearing a tan shirt

Or her hat covers her face while she sunbaths…

Maybe you’re just garbage at explaining it this ever-changing point of yours.

I don’t disagree that fantasy art can show skin. I disagree that because it shows skin, a “staple of the genre,” it cannot be changed to show less skin if it the image still successfully serves the same purpose as it served before, as fantasy art also features fully clothed figures all of the time, and artists are free to alter their own work.

I agree, obviously the sexual harassment etc was horrible, but stuff like this is pointless. Not only is it a waste of time, but it doesn’t change anything. It’s 2021, I see women wearing more revealing stuff than this al Walmart. Just be respectful, stop the harassment and promote a positive work environment for everyone and stop making meaningless changes to the game. I’d rather them work on anything else than this.

Why not both? I don’t think anyone is against the idea of fully armored women, but taking away or not adding more “slutmog” isn’t exactly a good answer, at least not for every single woman that I personally know.

As for the people crying that it’s some obscure art that means nothing to nobody, you are severely missing the point or being disingenuous to the greater picture.

It’s obvious that Blizzard is overcorrecting in the dumbest ways possible and there is allowed to be genuine concern that this overcorrecting bleeds into how gear and women in general can be portrayed in the future.

Rather than being given the option for people to express themselves however they want, blizzard is potentially going to limit options in the future, create less revealing outfits in their “moral” crusade under the guise of “wokeness”.

Blizz replacing a portrait of a woman with fruit is poetry honestly. Their handling of this lawsuit is disastrous and the internet is collectively laughing and sighing in depression.

Your “bigger picture” relies on paranoia and slippery slope fallacies.

Yup. Heard this before about the cash shop and the game turning into pay to win via token buying too. “It’s just a mount. It’s just a cosmetic helm. If you don’t like it, ignore it”

Now look at the game

What part of the game, specifically, is ruined by the cash shop?

You’ve just brough MORE paranoia and the same fallacies.

And if you think you’re right this time, too, when do you leave?

I cant wait to see the Succubus changed to one of the humpback witches from Drustvar

Lmfao I’m ending this now. I’m not going to entertain you with a tit-for-tat scenario. If at this point you’re still blind to the way this game works via gold buying, then frankly I’m not at all surprised that you’re blind to the OP discussion as well. Call me paranoid all you want, I quit the game long ago and canceled my sub after that.

I’m just here to support customisations and watch the people high on copium fight it out

Ending what you never had to start. How brave.

Just answer the question, you hopeless addict: What broke because of the cash shop?

Perhaps you need a new hobby instead of railing about the cash shop in a game you don’t play.

Why ‘not’ both? Instead of bemoaning what Blizzard is “potentially” going to do to limit players’ options in the future, why not look at the pattern already emerging? Player options are ever increasing, and they’ve changed some background images.

TEEN. Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages 13 and older . Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.

A lot of the stuff they are changing are not a violation of that rating .

THat’s why I’m not going to even engage him .

People are offended over the virtue signaling that is being done and you are as much of a virtue signaler as they are.

Just as soon as you and all the other virtue signalers stop going out and looking for anything and everything to be offended over .

Like I said people are offended over the virtue signaling . We couldn’t give a rodents rectum about the paintings .

Some might be mad about the changes but most are mad because it is all a pathetic attempt to up their social credit score and make the easily offended like you go “Who’s a good Blizz , yes you’s a good Blizz”

Technically speaking, it actually is pay to win. You can buy gold via cash, buy carries via gold, effectively turning into “pay to win” by just exchanging real life money for in game currency to then therefore turn it into in game items.

So yeah, it actually did turn into pay to win to many people.

Mounts, farming for materials/gold.

Easily offended yes. The players flailing their arms are, in rightfully so, showing they know how to add things up.

Agreed in that it’s just dumb to see. It’s not offensive to me, it’s just like watching someone trying to drink a bar of soap with a straw. You just wonder “what is going on in their mind?”

So women.

Legitimately no one gave a thought to these things, until Blizz themselves brought it up to score brownie points.

Other than religion and politics, who knows?

Hush you. Goblins need some love too.

Holy crap I didn’t have to dig too deep in this thread to find the right answer.

You mean like the critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV that’s free to play up to max level?

Part of me genuinely longs for this at this point not because of sexism, but only to see everything burn.
