Please run TOWARDS your tank

totally agreed. this is really just something people need to practice until it’s habit.

Don’t forget the class on managing healing range, aka “always keep a wall between you and your healer”. In a pinch a flight of stairs will do!

Very good point.

We’ve also received new training to prepare us for the introduction of the winged lizard healers:

Whenever we see one in our raid or dungeon we must stand at least 31 yards away from the healer and anyone else in our party who might need healing.

I just stand on the tank, all the time.

All creepy-like.

Not if you can drop agro without it coming back to group. Perhaps rogue or sometimes hunter, but don’t run to opposite side from mobs and expect to prance back to the group either. Sometimes better to die alone than wipe the grouo, especially if rez can reach yoh easily.

I feel like I need to make a macro and spam this at the start of every leveling dungeon

I can’t believe how many players in 2022 still sprint directly away from the tank once they pull aggro. Leveling dungeons are so ripe with it, it is ridiculous. It doesn’t take any kind of genius to understand why you should run to the tank with your aggro.

Ew, 6 foot distance please and thank you

People always run when they are on fire

This is why fear is the best cc.

This is why we need a “Hall of the Novice” like in FFXIV to train people in party etiquette.

I thought it was just a natural reaction. DPS gets aggro, stop DPS, and run to tank. This should be a reflex hah

Yeah if I’m tanking about you’re pulling stuff away, I’m not gonna bend over backwards to try to rescue you, especially if I’m not playing a dancey-pants tank spec.

Lmao.
My bruh in Christ.

My mage tends to “steal” aggro from tanks a lot. I have no idea why.

I tend to stand very close to tanks anyway. I just like that kind of play.

if you’re playing arcane and open with Arcane Surge it does a LOT of damage and enables you to pump super hard really early, which can reliably yank aggro off the tank if they open with anything thats not taunt.

I’ve learned that one the hard way.

Sniff sniff

Are these happening in normal dungeons or something higher?

That’s part of your problem then. If you’re in melee range of the mob, you rip threat sooner than you would at range. You take aggro from the tank when you exceed 110% of their threat if in melee range. But that becomes 130% at ranged.
