The additions of the circle before the glow make it harder to react to procs. The circle is obnoxious and doesn’t provide anything over the immediately glow we used to have.
The action bar outline shining when the gcd is up is distracting, the action bars are shining EVERY 1.5 seconds.
The edge of the cooldown timer (the clock hand on icons indicating how long until the ability is back up) is way too thick and bright.
The additional cast bar on the spell’s icon you are using is fine, I guess. I find it redundant since there’s already a cast bar so I’d rather not have it.
I prefer to have my UI as minimalistic as possible and the default action bars were good for that, but the additions in this patch made it too stylized. Please change these as options so I don’t have to use an addon.
For real like no one asked for this stuff this crap is distracting like this should have an option like everything else to go back to old, anyone else that like the new they can keep but forcing this crap down our throats is honestly bs and im getting real sick and tired of it . there is a reason why weakauras an ui addons like elvui are a thing so you can have what you want but now feels like my game an ui are being controlled by a gm… doesnt even feel like mine anymore choices are a real thing give them to us .

Is their someone at Blizzard who have visions problems to not see that the action bar changes is VERY problematic for sensitive people?
The only thing I wish to turn off is the casting wave that goes across the ability icon and get rid of the green circle that shows on some abilities. The proc lighting up is fine to me.
I have to agree. These new animations are quite awful especially considering they didn’t add an option to turn it back to the old way. More options is always better not changing something and forcing us to adapt whether we like it or not should never be the staple but here we are once again.
Please give us the option to at least turn the new animations off. It’s very jarring to look at. I love the change for people that do but it’s very hard on my eyes and headache inducing.
There are already addons to change it. Bartender has the old glows.
That is not the point though. The new UI and edit mode was meant so you had to rely on addons less, but they keep adding features without the option in edit mode and ironically requiring you to use an addon to remove them.
Agreed, entirely. Please, can we see a toggle option for these new actionbar button animations?
I speak entirely from my own bias opinion here…but I absolutely hate these new animations. I say that both from being a player since day 1 Vanilla drop, a hater of changes to things I myself did not want as an Aspergers Syndrome pronounced autistic, and as one whom is also an epileptic…these overly distracting animations, flashes, little twinkles and such going on are just nothing but toxic for one like myself and has all but robbed me of my ability to play with the new patch drop, until either something is done, or someone else does something to remedy this “issue” that has now made my play more of a bother than an enjoyment for me.
I’m sorry to bring up such negative subjects in regards to this issue, but I won’t hide the simple truth behind my issue with this new change, both for me, and for those like myself whom may have visual issues that would impede their enjoyment or ability to play even in the slightest form.
Thank you all for giving this a read through, and this is to hopefully a better route going forward, and toggle setting or drop-down of several to choose from that might be given to us for how our action bars are animated and function.
