One time when i was in Eversong Woods, a couple of Blood Elves in MAGA hats put a tiny piece of string around me and dumped mana on me and told me ā€œThis is MAGA country!ā€

I want to say you should be more careful not to outright contradict yourself like that, but at the same time it plays well into the unwitting, self-serving contradictions the kinds of people that would honestly say this tend to wield.

Ok, I agree, in-game, lore-related politics =/= real world politics and are not a problem.

People just want to read into that and be offended by something that it is not. It is impossible to make fantasy factions and alliances that do not resemble ā€œreal lifeā€ in some way or another.
