Please remove the Trident from LFR Uu'nat

Then do what I did in LFR Jaina and Opulence when jokers thought it was cute to AFK or run through the middle, resetting the raid. Vote to kick. Eventually you get rid of the losers and the bads, but you gotta look for them and others have to notice them as well. And I mean we went through 4-5 Opulence resets until we removed all the jokers

This would seem to be a perfect example of the developers apparently doing things without actually thinking through the consequences.

It is one thing to include some mechanics in order to make LFR fights at least interesting and informative - it’s another to include a mechanic which can be trolled by one person to the detriment of 24 people who are attempting to do it right.

And that’s why we have a report and kick function in the game.

Which is very true but the fact remains that is an avoidable issue. After all, anyone can troll a raid boss in some way but this looks to be almost an invitation to do so. And if you DO kick that person, you have no guarantee someone else wont come in and do exactly the same thing. How many wipes does it take until you just give up and quit and go have a cuppa whilst honing your rage?

Remember LFR Argus boss fight? I always laughed when people flashed their heroic achievement and then proceeded to wipe the raid because THEY DIDN’T KNOW THE FIGHT (LFR version).

No, they should definitely leave the trident in LFR Crucible.

I highly doubt you’re going to get that many tanks in a row to troll it. But that’s still no excuse to idiot proof a raid and make it more of an AFK fest. LFR is bad enough with how people treat it as a joke. It doesn’t need to be made worse by removing more mechanics.

I have no issues reporting and kicking trolls as much as is needed.

Another recommendation is to ask if anyone is unsure of what to do. Oftentimes an LFR will wipe, someone will call out someone, and they’ll reply, “First time here.” It behooves you to let players know that if they aren’t clear on their role or when they need to perform a particular function, to send you a tell. People are often afraid to speak up for fear of getting kicked.

Large bomb on LFR Argus only blew up the person. You could not wipe the raid with it like normal or higher.

I think they should just change LFR back to easy mode, I am betting most of the people who claimed to want mechanics in there aren’t even doing it.

There is 0 need to even use it correctly on LFR or normal. It provides no significant help.

And whats bad is it “seems” like it would be helpful and a new tank should use it rather than it causing a wipe 99% of the time.

welp time to queue for lfr as a tank now.

No, that wasn’t what I was talking about. It had specifically to do with tanking.

Go back to MoP LFR. Lei Shen was arguably the hardest / most complex LFR boss we had for the longest time. I literally had an actionbar full of macros to explain the fight and make callouts during the fight because I had had to do it so often to help groups make it through it and I didn’t want to stop my performance to type those things manually anymore.

And yet, only a tank getting themselves flung off the map could potentially cause a wipe on its own.

Swirls not getting soaked? Literally anyone could have done it. Overcharged stunning/killing people? It’s on individuals to stay in the safe zone to avoid it. Chain Lightning hitting people? Only those not spreading properly are affected. Falloff AoE? Only those not bothering to move are getting hit hard.

That fight had a ton of movement, a ton of mechanics, 3 phases, and was one of the few fights were people actually had to pay attention to make it through, and yet, random DPS couldn’t accidentally [or purposefully] wipe the group on their own. They could only kill themselves, or spread chain lightning to one more person (any beyond that are their own faults). It was the most fun I’ve ever had in LFR.

BfA has mechanics that allow individuals to wipe the whole raid easily. I’d be fine with those not existing in a random queue environment. Have mechanics that can wipe the raid, but it should be “is this handled?”, not “did this 1 DPS decide not to handle it?”

I love it! I think it’s a lot of fun!

A group and I did the LFR last night lol. We all had to figure it out together.

I guess i dont remember exactly how a tank on LFR Argus could wipe the raid at will with 1 button.

phase 1 cones
phase 2 buffed tank soaks bomb
phase 3 tank adds
phase 4 tank boss

Its been a while, refresh my memory?

While I do not think that LFR is too complicated as is, I agree that the burst of damage on the raid from mechanics like the Bubble is probably a bit too much since it involves knowledge/timing of when the mechanics come out, which might be a stretch for an LFR pug.

I would just remove the negative effects or at the very least reduce the negative effects.

So how many more times will you do this if you found it so much fun ?

I don’t know! I like to practice my rotations in LFR sometimes so… maybe once a week.

The mechanics are simple once you know them and if you get that down you’re golden.

(omg so many typos sorry!)

You must enjoy this version I guess because you have spent a lot of time in LFR this expansion. I used to like LFR but not anymore but then I am not a big fan of their raids lately either.

Then ask for it to be fixed/revised, not removed.
