Ok, one last reply. This issue is about the general lack of decency demonstrated by people online. Which you and a bunch of others have proven with spectacular accuracy in this thread. And my worry is that such behavior is going to encourage people to act in the same manner they learn to do online. And that will be a disaster. So…please stop doing it.
No, that’s an excuse you made up because you got personally mad at someone using an in-game emote on your character. You’re looking for any reason to extend this to other people when you could have /ignored that guy.
Was “Wow, society is devolving” your first thought when getting /spit at? No, you got mad. Everything else came after. Come on.
I remember a Temple BG from about a year ago.
It was an utter stomp, we held all 4 orbs for most of the short, 6 min game.
I just stood in the center, Orange Orb over my head, /dance, /laugh, and /rude on loop. I wonder if any of the Horde that day took the forums in a similar rage.
No, nope, and nope…
As long as that is harmless nothing happens.
And /spit…
I am a fully functioning and socially acceptable meat popsicle.
Despite the numerous insulting emotes I have leveled against fallen foes.
Be quiet. The grown ups are playing.
there is a /ignore command
ok… Is that what else you want to ban?
New thread: /ignoring is harassment
I say the same …
Truth be told, I believe we were all just trolled anyway. OP had their fun and now they’ve moved on.
Shame too, I had more jokes ready. Which may or may not be a good thing depending on how bad one thinks my humor is.
Even if it was trolling, logic was still second-hand at stake.
Just use the /spit against the emoter by doing /moan to enjoy it like the filthy furry you are owo
Thats what I do :3
Just find him ingame and /spit away
Newsflash; they really don’t spit at you, it’s just words.
Well, if someone tried to take something I’m purposely going for. Say, a mining node but I can’t do that because a mob had to puppy guard it and some jerk is running closer and closer. Clearly no intention to help but for the one thing you’re going for. So… I of course going to /spit on them.
When I’m standing over your broken vulpera corpse having split you in half with my sword, my spitting on your remains are the least of your concerns. Now apply that to whatever ‘real life’ extrapolation you were attempting to make.
It isn’t real life though. It is a game. I wouldn’t do half the stuff i do in this game in real life. Try double cutting someone up in real life, and bowshotting someone to death, because your brother told you to and see what happens.
Might as well delete wow and ban it. Wow promotes violence lol.
No, see, it’s not him that needs to learn anything. You are all amoral and need to act better for him. Humanity is at stake.
Am I right OP?
The real life application is trying to get people to stop going out of their way to be mean to each other. The odds are most of those responding are from a western style democracy. You would think growing up encapsulated by safety and convenience would make people happy and promote general well-being. But the opposite seems to be happening. Why did you write your reply? What were you hoping would happen? Are you attempting to lay bare the logic of my position? Or are you doing your best to say something nasty just for the thrill of it?
