I’m the exact opposite. All I get is staves when I want a 1h/off hand combo’

I wouldn’t mind the 1h Offhand thing if we could enchant the offhand. Rogues and DH’s get 2 enchants for the trouble of farming 2 weapon slot items, but casters don’t.
It’s amazing how fast Legion spoiled me with not having to worry about off-hand gear.
(although come to think of it, I guess back before Legion, I was usually using crafted catchup weapons rather than drops most of the time … the world has changed so much in only a couple of expansions)
Please no. I hate how staves look on the back and would prefer to keep my 1H/offhand until such a day that staves can be held while casting, like a proper spellcasting focus.

tell me about it… i had a staff, then i got the wand from ilgynoth, then after trying to get the offhand from xanesh, i got this dagger, still no offhand, still using the staff since i couldnt even get an offhand from other methods (assaults, WQ, emissaries etc) until finally the offhand dropped… such a relief

If you don’t want 1h drops and off-hand drops, play a different class that doesn’t use them. Otherwise deal with it.
I prefer 1h with oh, not just from the min/max standpoint but personal aesthetics too.

Heh, and Paldins have one of the harder gearing groups if you want to run all 3 specs.
I don’t see why I can’t trasmog a MH+OH into a staff. 
Only if I can yell like Lionel from Thundercats as I elongate my two-hander.
They need to allow weapon enchants to be placed on the Off-Hand and Shield, that would offset the difference in stats using a two-handed staff.
Exactly this! Then wait months for the weapon emissary to come back around to get a 2nd, 3rd 1h.
You don’t want an ever expanding collection of off-hand baubles yet no actual main hand stat stick?

Yeah, i can’t tell you how many times i have had an awesome 1H or OH in my bags waiting for the other piece to drop only to outgear the content before it eventually drops, like right now i have an amazing 1H and my best OH is horrible by comparison so i can’t use it.
My paladin had issues with getting all the weapons for all 3 specs.
(Not sure why I bothered with Holy, but I did… maybe one day I’ll play that spec)
It seems to never went to be helpful
Scenario 1: You have a 445 ilvl staff.
Scenario 2: You have a 470 mainhand and a 430 offhand.
No prizes for guessing what’s better.

As an ele/resto shaman, I want the opposite…no more staffs for me. I want 1-hand + shield. Seriously, I despise having to use a staff on my shaman when I get one that is drastically superior to my 1h/shield.
