Please reconsider your stance on retail/classic reward linking

The desire to get these items in retail are irrelevant to what they should do in classic. In other words, being blunt… We don’t GaF if you want unobtainable items in retail from classic wow, they shouldn’t allow you to get these items on retail because you cleared naxx in classic or because you got the AQ gate mount in classic.

Why are you directing this at me? I think I’ve stated over 5 times already that I’m not in favor of a cross-over. This topic is coming to light because those who cried and whined for over a decade for Vanilla realms, despite the Blizzard CM’s stating over and over and over that they weren’t going to do it, are getting their way.

There’s a few other issues that the community has been crying for for years, and bringing back removed Vanilla content is one of them. It’s very relevant, whether you agree with it or want it to be relevant or not.

This is the first time I have quoted you. You asked a question, I answered it. Simple as that.

And no it isn’t relevant to classic wow at all. The fact that people want an item on retail has nothing to do with classic. Period.

Your answer is misguided, incorrect, and unintelligent. Simple as that.

The question wasn’t directed at you.

It doesn’t matter if it was directed toward me or not I answered it. And it is not unintelligent you just don’t agree with it.

How about you explain why you think it is relevant instead of being a baby?

What does the wants and needs or retailers have anything to do with classic. Answer that question.

There, repasted it for you.

As stated by others, Retro-Vanilla-in-Retail is not particularly relevant to Classic WoW. The two ideas are closely related, but what Tim is doing doesn’t mean it is relevant to what Peter and Paul are up to.

Timmy can want things all he wants, it doesn’t mean Peter needs to deal with it.

In this case, Timmy’s want is highly toxic to what Peter and Paul are doing, and not relevant aside from how it keeps getting in the way.

Tim’s wants and needs DO need to addressed, but Classic WoW, strictly speaking isn’t really the proper venue for that discussion. Of course, neither are the BfA forums at this moment in time.

The Classic WoW community is likely going to want to consider “how to deal with Timmy” before he truly wrecks something, which is why I’ll comment on it but it really is a(n unavoidable) discussion topic for after Classic is ready to go live.

Ok sweetie I guess I am really going to have to spell this out for you. How does the desire for old gear on retail…have any relevance to classic wow specifically. This post does not answer the question I just gave to you. I want you to really think about what you are saying before you post so you don’t get confused again.

Very immature word choice you have there.

I don’t owe you an explanation, I already made it crystal clear why they’re related and why this thread is heated and continuing on. If that’s not clear to you, go re-read and stop wasting my time.

No, no you didn’t make it clear. All you basically said was that because classic wow was given to us even though we were told time and time again it wouldn’t happen, that it somehow relates the desire for vanilla gear in retail. You haven’t explained AT ALL how it relates. You just said some nonsense and then claimed that it is related without actually saying how it is.

Are you this delusional IRL or…

I whole-heartily agree that a Classic cross-over is not the answer, as I’ve said at least 6 times now…

But it is relevant.

Whining about no Classic realms has resulted in Classic realms. Others who have been whining about other things yet not received a bone from Blizzard are wondering why they aren’t getting a bone.

The ones who want these Vanilla items in retail are likely not thinking through (or do not care about) the repercussions of wanting a cross-over, but the reality is that both parties have a common desire in different forms.

Which has nothing to do with classic. How do you not understand this? If they want these pieces then they should just ask for them as a standalone request and not have classic brought into the conversation at all…because it’s irrelevant.

“HEY GUYS I REALLY WANT MORE SKINS FOR TRACER ON OVER WATCH”

“No tracer has enough skins”

“WELL WARCRAFT FINALLY GAVE PEOPLE THE ABILITY TO FLY IN BFA CONTENT SO WHY CAN’T I GET MORE SKINS”

“That has nothing to do with overwatch”

“YEAH IT DOES ITS COMPLETELY RELEVANT”

^^^^^^^ This is you right now.

Your logic is akin to gibberish.

It’s funny because the logic in my last post was directly emulating yours. So yeah I agree.

Your logic makes strong use of the straw man fallacy, and it’s garage. I’ll wait while you go Google that.

I DID IT! I REACHED THE END OF THE THREAD!!!

(Yes Blizz, this IS a complete sentence)

This was actually me.

Lol, why would I? You obviously don’t understand the reasons why people want Classic. You apparently don’t comprehend the feelings of a person who wants to play it because they love it, not because they can get some specific item from it.

Because Classic already exists at that point. I’m agreed with Mddsteve on that part, once Classic goes live, and more particularly if numbers drop off considerably(and even if they don’t). There is going to be a hard push from Retail players wanting to collect Xmogs and whatnot.

You think they’re annoying now? They haven’t really started yet, you’re going to start to see it once Blizzard starts an open beta/PTR for Classic, and the livestreamers start putting together new recordings of the old content being done old school.

I know what strawman is and that isn’t what I am doing maybe you need to google it because this isn’t even remotely similar to a strawman argument. I was giving an example that had the same premise as your original argument. Just replace the games in my scenario and it is literally the exact same thing you are arguing.
