Please reconsider - add dungeon finder to Classic Wrath of the Lich King

The quality-of-life convenience of the dungeon finder is objectively Good, and should be in classic Wrath.

I agree fully with bring Dung finder. Thats the main reason why I didnt change to a mega server so that I could still find groups to do dungs. I want changes but not like this. Ones that will help the game not cause players to leave a server even more so then what they were already doing.

They already ruined any community possibility with unrestricted server transfers. To say they care about the community in ANY regard outside of how to exploit game features for cash is pretty disingenuous at best. Might as well have lfd so we have convenience along with our retail community.

If you look at some factions on most servers… they don’t have enough people to have a community.

I think they missed the boat on this one. Dungeon Finder actually enhanced the social interaction of the game. It allowed you to meet people on ‘your’ realm that you could form friendships with. It was the inclusion of cross-realm groups, introduced later on to reduce queue times, that hurt the social fabric of the game.

This is what concerns me about the lack of the feature.
Also thought they sounded very insincere about community concern when discussing this which was pretty disappointing.

Dungeon finder should absolutely be in Wrath, but I would prefer it to not be cross-realm. That way people can still be held accountable by their server’s community

They’ll have plenty of opportunity to keep the comminutes (LOL) for finding groups for raiding.

This will be a stake through the heart of this classic version.

I don’t agree. What they really need to do is add SoM changes to the main Classic servers so that Boosting goes away. It’ll make leveling better.

You mean like LFD so you don’t have to quest anymore?

you already have that in The main classic servers.

What I mean is Level restrictions for xp gain in Dungeons. Boosting kind of kills early dungeon running for new players.

LFD Wasn’t in till ICC imagine melting over LFD not being in the game.

100% this.

LFD was fine, what killed the community was LFR. LFR removed the need to have a guild altogether. There is a lot of badge gear that is hard to farm without spamming a ton of dungeons in wrath, especially when you take into account heirlooms. The tool back in the day (as someone who used it) really helped speed up my aquisition of these items. Additionally, dungeons were the main way you could gain rep with a lot of the different factions outside of dailies.

It just seems so hypocritical to me for the team to continue to sell boosts, which are a clear disregard for the classic community and act like they are doing a favor for us here by removing this helpful tool.

Agreed 100% I have made lifelong friends since original Wrath, thanks to the Dungeon Finder. I don’t remember ANYONE from before this. This is a really dumb idea, Blizzard, and shows that you are only listening to a minority of players, and not the majority.

Just have to voice my support for Dungeon Finder. I understood and agreed with the original philosophy of “make classic like classic” and excluding many QoL features. But this is now extending well beyond that and actively removing them.

Dungeon finder was a core part of the experience in WoTLK for many, many people. Some of the progression systems (badges) felt like they were even designed around the ability to repeatedly run short heroic dungeons.

Part of what made WoTLK great to me was that Blizzard balanced itemization, reward and progression perfectly, and dressed it all up in engaging story/content. This works against that balance.

I rarely post, but I don’t understand this one. When in doubt, stick with what made WoTLK the most popular expansion in WoW’s history.

The absolute biggest thing i wanted from LFD tool was to be able to do the lower lvl instances on alts. WOTLK is the most alt friendly, and lfd tool made that happen. Doing those is massively facilitated by lfd and is a huge part of the game for me.

Blizzard doing what they do best and doing the exact opposite of what people want. If the community council asked for this then please stop listening to them idiots

I agree that we need dungeon finder. I don’t want to get headaches using a ghetto version of it and looking in lfg for hours.
If you don’t want dungeon finder then don’t use it. Very simple.
Also the argument of “dungeon finder kills open world” is so flawed. I’m on the biggest alliance realm right now and there isn’t 5 people outside 90% of the dungeons.
