Please please no thrall redemption on maldraxxus

This thread is a prime example of why the humans should have just eradicated the orcs instead of enslaving them.

Didn’t thrall lose his connection to the elements cause he used them in a way they were not intended to be used?

No. Thrall lost his connection to the elements because the writers hate the Horde.

Warlock’s the original toon, and worth a race-change to preserve. As for Priest, some people have more than one character. I’ve said many times that if Blizzard didn’t do something about Priests and Voidform I’d roll Mage because I believe it is given more developer care than Priest is.

I think you worry too much about what other people do with their free time.

Not if you both agreed to it in the first place.

Cataclysm and Go’el have unfortunately killed any semblance of awesomeness the Thrall character once had. He’s just so spineless it makes you wonder if the story director has a secret grudge against him or something. He went from the face of the horde, decked out in that awesome black armor and wielding the doomhammer, to a wannabe hipster with a beard and flip flops.

Like whenever someone looks to him to do something, anything, he looks like he wants to run away to his bathroom for a good cry.

The story team has a bias against the Horde. Have you looked at what’s happened the Horde since the end of Wrath?

This is how the Shadowlands expansion will end.

As everyone is worthy of the maw, Thrall will offer to be Jesus, so that all who believe in him and turn to him will be free of this eternal damnation.

Nothing will ever be as cringe inducing as Tyrande and Malfurion in Val. (I can’t remember the exact spelling.)

I’d be fine with Thrall taking a leadership role again but honestly I think the entire “Warchief” thing needs to be done away with. I’m interested to see how the new council style of leadership will work out for the Horde going forward.

He has ED.

Elemental Dysfunction.

(it wasn’t the elements that abandoned him, all his guilt and doubt about all the mistakes he made along the way made him lose his connection to them)

Human-Thrall should leave and become Orc-Thrall like he was in warcraft3 and vanilla.

Also, and this is pure speculation on my part, but I think it’s being said that some lore characters are not going to be coming back from the shadowlands and my money is on Thrall being one of them.

Garrosh redemption please

Blizzard cannot write romance…unless it’s couples that are old married couples that yell at each other alot. Everytime they try to do lovey-dovey it’s like reading Twilight but with Orcs/Night Elves.

Sorry, but Horde can’t be edgy metal murder conquerors and logically be allowed to exist as a faction in the story. The faction war was dumb from the start, you can’t have an escalation like we saw in the War of Thorns and BfA and have it all be done by a player faction, because the logical outcome that would happen to any other villain group isn’t possible.

You don’t get to have your poor man’s Conan the Barbarian fantasy while remaining a faction of ‘champions’.

Also, Thrall didn’t cheat. Mak’gora is, and has always been, very simple: Any weapon, magic included, is allowed, but a weapon discarded or lost can’t be picked up again. The reason Thrall lost connection with the elements was because he had a big sad about failing the Horde both with Garrosh and during the Broken Shore (and also because Metzen had surgery and couldn’t do voice acting work). The elements of an alternate universe Draenor have no way of telling the elements of Azeroth that they didn’t like how Thrall killed Garrosh, so the idea of him getting his abilities yoinked for ‘cheating’ makes zero sense.

I agree Thrall losing his powers has more to do with confidence than it has to do with offending the elements. But do alternate universes exist outside of reality in the Warcraft universe?

Couldnt have said it better myself.

He didn’t cheat.

Mak’gora rules are stated before each duel. Each duel has its own rules.

There are no rules specifically stating that magic cannot be used in Mak’gora.

If Thrall was permitted to use the elements he would have used them first thing and been done with it. But no. It took him getting his (censored) kicked for him to resort to them. He then was abandoned by the elements for doing so.

He was abandoned by the elements because he was overcome with guilt. Blizzard has already confirmed this.

" The rules of a Mak’gora seem to be different between each Mak’gora since they are chosen and set by the participants themselves. Generally, there are thus no specific rules. The only consistent theme in all Mak’gora is that the pair must fight to the death or until submission. Magic, for example, has never been stated to be forbidden, and has, in fact, been used in multiple Mak’gora duels and thus seems to be permitted. Similarly, many Mak’gora duels have involved both fighters wearing body armor as well, but it can also be forbidden when explicitly required." - https://wow.gamepedia.com/Mak%27gora
