This is why I’ve been thinking of going to classic. Even the low APM classes can get spammy and my arthritis hands end up in severe pain. I love the game but I don’t want to have to quit because of it.

It’s not always about what’s fun or not but what’s feasible for us older players. I don’t like losing dps or playing badly so I try to never miss a gcd

There’s a fix for you. An add on that allows you to map all your rotation to one button. You can just push that one button repeatedly for rotation. Of course you have to jump in with a different button if you need to do something out of the norm…

It will be broken, no doubt, by the expansion, but meanwhile… live it up.

It’s called GSE 3.

Surprise! They take away the button DDR only to find they’ve collaborated with FFXIV. You now have Suzaku as a boss to fight.

Be careful choosing in classic. There’s a lot of RNG that can result in your missing procs. I played druid and was always in cat form in the world, where I very often missed my finishing moves or had them blocked or parried multiple times by much lower level mobs. The energy I lost in trying to use those finishing moves was supposed to be refunded, but it wasn’t. Blizzard admitted this but never fixed it. The least engaging gameplay in the world is waiting for something to die of old age because you’re out of energy and can do nothing.

You download the add on from CurseForge. It’s a well known add on. Here is a post on Wow Lazy Macros that addresses the question. As long as you don’t automate from the keyboard to press the button for you… (don’t know how they know if you are doing that or not but I guess they do??). Just make sure you are actually pressing the button(s) yourself.

i literally cast sequence macro my rogues entire burst opener lol… in pvp… im sure some things can be done in pve with same thing.

This is a you problem, it’s your fault that you don’t want to try something new. If classes in their current state are all too complex and hard for you then it might be best to give up and find an easier game. This game is dumbed down enough.

I think OPs premise was that DPS rotations and priority spells on certain procs are too difficult for them to keep up with. They want dealing DPS to be less complex and feel “slower.”|

DH has a very simple rotation, no procs besides the necro demon, and still does really competitive damage. It’s the only spec besides BM hunter that’s pretty simple and straightforward to play.

If they aren’t doing good damage with DH, they’re either undergeared or not playing the class right, aka not following the simple rotation/priority spell list
