And the sooner it’s nerfed to the point that even the stupidest mouth breathing wants-to-be-carried can get through it the better.
I seriously believe they should make this the standard for LFR so people that queue up know it’s not going to be a cake walk and then it can replace normal mode
Wait. On the one hand call LFR peeps the “dregs, bad etc.”, but on the other hand provide a legitimate excuse as to why some people simply don’t have the time to organise with a norm or higher pug???
I mean sure, there’s probably plenty of underperforming players or afkers in LFR. But imo they’re the minority. I suspect most peeps in LFR just don’t have the time to commit to guild raid times or norm/heroic pug requirements. The classic of course is requiring aotc for norm pugs. Absolutely hilarious.
I am seriously considering finding a pug for normal mode on my day off in the hopes that we can kill N’Zoth, but the problem is people are such damn elitists. If you don’t have a bunch of high level mythic + under your belt or raid experience they don’t want you, regardless of ilvl.
And I am crying about a fight being impossible because I can’t carry people through it. And it’s not hard - I got him down to 31% on one pull and then one of the tanks rage quit when we wiped because people don’t know what progress looks like.
lol, what you’ve just described is almost every norm pug I’ve been in.
Man, really? Am I just not going to be able to get my achievement this expansion or do you think Blizzard will see NO ONE killing this boss on LFR and nerfing it again? I mean, it’s so bad they nerfed it LITERALLY the 2nd day it was out.
Then people need to learn mechanics. I miss the days of LFR Dragon Soul when people had to do more than just stand there and drool.
It’s a raid. Mechanics should absolutely exist.
Your best bet is to hope you randomly spot the semi-guild runs. Those are the ones I find with the least toxicity and highest success rate.
I know that - but you can’t control people who just want to tunnel vision the boss despite a 99% dmg shield. You can’t force people to understand what group they’re in, let alone get them to go into the Psychus realm because it’s easier to dps tentacles in N’Zoths room. You can’t force people to pay attention to the raid leader because in LFR you don’t have the power to just kick people - you have to vote to kick them.
I don’t mind toxicity. I AM toxic. I cannot stand casuals despite being “retired”. I have zero patience for content that has technically been out for two months that people come into BLINDLY.
This fight has to be one of the easiest LFR fights ever. Really not hard to learn some simple mechanics and actually read chat
Most people are idiots in LFR, those that care about the mechanics try, but all it takes is at least 5 or so people to ruin the attempt.
I tried for over 30 pulls with 50 different people dude. It. Is. Impossible.
Why are people killing him then?
I downed him the 2nd day he was out. Group I joined actually listened. 7 attempts is all it took. If I had the same group again I bet we could 1 or 2 shot him
Probably because the stars are aligning on a tuesday right after work and they’re groups of geared people killing N’Zoth for the text fragment he drops.
My problem is I’m queuing in as a healer to avoid an hour long queue time (I get in between 10 and 20 mins as discipline). As DPS I could probably carry more, but it’s still hard. And that doesn’t address the fact that it’s basically impossible to get into a fresh run to kill Carapace and you need that for the achievement. So until they nerf this fight and people can start killing it after no more than 10 stacks of determination it’s basically impossible to even see that boss.
Ok, so it’s not impossible.
So lets put this together:
- People are clearly killing him
- You are not while saying it’s impossible
Now what is the common thread with both of these bullet points? I’ll go ahead and point it out: you.
Or maybe, unlike others who get lucky and get competent players. Most of the time, people get tunnel vision cloak 1 people who dont follow mechanics.
